isn't the point of the RS that people who don't really know cars can't spot one?
those in the know, well, um, know.
Average Audi RS driver doesn't want to shout it from the rooftops. if you do you usually by an M3 in bright blue or baby sick yellow instead?
Exactly why I have got my name on the list for an rs3, I will prob de-badge as well....and put my ageless plate on it isn't the point of the RS that people who don't really know cars can't spot one?

I know a few people with rs4 or 6's, they generally are successful people who don't want or need to shout about it but still want a motor which goes like st off a shovel and has 5 seats and a boot

Audi will sell all they can make - yeah, not desirable to anyone!
'Desirable'Audi will sell all they can make - yeah, not desirable to anyone!
Well say what you like but I can't see it appealing to the younger market who fawn over chrome mirrors and angry badges, there is not enough of either. Surely Audi want to protect their market share in the drives of start up housing, funded by lengthy finance deals? Then there is the enthusiast. It's all a bit obvious.

A big lump of an engine stuck out the front threatens to offer up yet another understeering monster, is that what they enthusiast really wants, I cant see it. Lastly Mr Manager. £40K, with what. Magnetic dampers (vital for pub one upmanship)..no. Full on RS seats...no. So with options let's be kind and say it's going to be nigh on £50K. That'll be too much money for what it is then.
So.
Take the comments as a pinch of salt or whatever you wish. If you like them then go and fking buy one and shout from the roof tops, otherwise dont. Audi have only made one interesting car in the last decade, I don't see that changing any time soon.

Careful, his preferred people carrier is a 1 series. I warn you, he is not one to shy away from a dab o' oppo on the morning commute, and your Audi is boring and dull. Full stop. Deal.Audi will sell all they can make - yeah, not desirable to anyone!

Well what a surprise.....scherzkeks unable to look at anything Audi objectively If you spent less time trying to lord it over everyone with your 'superiority' I might take you seriously. But nevermind, I guess that's why you're such an oracle on every subject

Happy to admit that I enjoyed my Audis, and certainly look at them objectively. A curious comment on your part, given that I'm not the one entering threads to inform everyone what crap their choice in vehicle is. Particularly when said vehicle does 99% of what your (and my own) people carrier does, and much of it considerably better. Troll on. But nevermind, I guess that's why you're such an oracle on every subject

Is that how you think you put it, how long did the last haldex discussion troll on for Anyway you best crack on, there are plenty of threads on cycling, watches.....*everything just ripe for you to wade in with your size 12's of insight.
Like I said it is a fair amount of money (quite a bit of money when spec'd) for something which on paper doesn't look too spectacular. As an object of hot hatch development I dont see it has moved the game on and unlike the RS estates misses the point completely (for me) Sorry if you cannot accept that or don't agree, it really doesn't bother me, neither do I feel I have to ask to post an opinion on the internet.
No doubt heaps of them will be sold no matter what the dynamics are like.

Fortunately, your comments are there in black and white. And the Haldex stuff remains endlessly amusing. "It's just FWD." No, yonex, it isn't. yonex said:

Funny, you appear in all of them, whether bleating about your "training program" for the next Fredfondo, berating childless couples, and informing us that you are generally best at what ever activity you are currently involved in. yonex said:

Ah, yes the bully boy insults are now followed by a more measured statement. Typical. Tell us how you really feel. No doubt heaps of them will be sold no matter what the dynamics are like.

Who cares about what demographic group buys these, or how they pay for them! I said they'll have no trouble shifting all of them to whoever, however. Not quite sure what's so obvious to you!Well say what you like but I can't see it appealing to the younger market who fawn over chrome mirrors and angry badges, there is not enough of either. Outside of a track, you'd have to do some pretty hairy driving on public roads to get this car to understeer. But wait, it's a new model, so without anyone outside of Audi actually driving it yet, you've already made your mind up that this 'threatens' to be it's only party trick. yonex said:

What's too much money for some isn't for others as is what people spec or don't, and since the car isn't 'desirable' to you it's therefore irrelevant what you think! As for 'Mr Manager', I'm not the presumtuous one with a superiority complex that comes onto a public forum and thinks he can decide on everyone elses behalf that a car he's never seen in the flesh, let alone drivin it, is not desirable!

Not much more to it.
May I suggest a cup of tea and a lie down to you both?
