Its become endemic round Wilmslow where I live, a new block of retirement flats were built which mean lots of builders vans for months, the builders had an esoteric approach to parking and basically just left their vehicles wherever they could fit them,

http://www.wilmslow.co.uk/news/article/18455/still...

So, the taboo had been broken and those commuting in to work or shop are now leaving their cars on the main road all day, there is plenty of parking but you have to pay for that so why not stick it on a busy junction in a town centre and cause utter chaos.

Its murder round there now, you have kids coming out of the local secondary school trying to cross between parked cars, cars mount the pavement to get past.

Cones have been put out, they just move the comes, an 18 plate Audi A1 driver did this and got a massive road cone dumped on its roof, some cars have been keyed as well, which I dont advocate but it shows how pissed off people are getting.

Yellow lines will be paint, they will just park a bit further out, now I am great believe in that I dont own the road outside my house and it is free for anyone to use but conversely, I dont want the road to become a car park for local office workers and shoppers who wont pay for parking.

I try to park considerately, just not getting a ticket/clamped isnt my criteria, causing tailbacks all day and general agro/danger isnt something I would do and it shows the level of disregard and entitlement these people have.

I empathise, I’m sure it’s a PITA.

I’m surprised that there was a “taboo” to break however. It would be nice if people thought like that but unless they are parking in a way that would attract a ticket, then it’s all good in their minds.

There is a 300 space Sainsbury's car park just a few metres down this road that's free for a couple hours. Pure laziness.

Whilst not terrible it made me laugh that this person couldn't be bothered to put their car within the bay.

It’s only because all the disabled spaces were already taken before they got there.

Not strictly bad parking, but there's a problem with how they've parked, and possibly there vision.
Sadly my flash went off, so there's a reflection on the photo. I stopped to get the photo, no traffic around.

Take your pick. Cougar is parked but they have left their lights on.

Given they're a front foglight wker then they get double points.

Obviously doesn't want his nearly eight year old Seat damaging. A dent in the door would be enough for an insurance write off...

Sorry it’s sideways

2ft gap behind both cars.
So they've left sufficient gap behind to get the tailgate open then ?

Shared on the Blackburn and District In The Past Facebook site. Some bad parking outside the Town Hall in the early 1900s preserved in photo.

That just shows how crap people are at parking!
Had it been reversed in, there would be no problem.
Crap crap crap!
And yes, had I been in the car, I would of let the tyres down on the van thing.

Most private plates are chav. Few actually enhance the vehicle or brighten ones day.

I've just spent a happy 5 minutes trying to find this on google maps. This looks to be the building (can't quite get the same viewing angle). Looks like the clock tower on the left has gone then. And it's now pedestrian, so less chance of bad parking wink

I think this is an illustration of Bad parking being hereditary.

We need to send a Terminator back in time to murder that driver before he can produce any offspring who will then produce more offspring, and this ongoing multiplication of genetically deficient parkers will lead to the creation of the thread smile

And a parking-related one...These bollards have been installed to stop cars parking half on the pavement, but the bollards themselves reduce the usable width of the pavement by a third, making it difficult for pedestrians to pass never mind folk with pushchairs or mobility scooters frown
