Seems like the right thread for this:

Please explain it to me. Why do people (not just on PH but on social media everywhere) upload screenshots of an app displaying a photo, rather than just uploading the photo itself? I genuinely don't understand why this happens! Pommy?
Because I like this exact car, photo and angle and the Carsales App won't let me save the photo.
Ahh, Carsales - screenshot, then crop and save as photo...

I saw a Focus in this colour earlier, I wasn't a fan of the colour, but it certainly stood out among the 50 shades of grey.
They should call that colour 'dehydrated'

There was a time red was the single most popular colour, these days monochrome. I think people buy new cars with the next owner in mind, not for themselves, to protect value. I'm hoping bright colours become fashionable again.

I've just bought a new car and the brightest colour I could get was red! Twenty years ago I bought a Ford Ka and got an amazing discount on the one in the showroom as it was bright green. Loved it and it was quickly named Kermit by everyone who knew me. Recently I had a dark red Mini Clubman and got a Paul Smith style roof wrap to add some colour. Thinking what I can do with the new car to make it brighter and stand out more.
A peelable spray wrap is probably what you need - enjoy the car in the colour you want and then strip it back to factory boring grey when you come to sell it.

A lot of new cars are leased rather than bought, these people are ordering cars that they like as they havent got the worry of re sale values.

Not grey. Pastel but still colourful. Looks brighter in real life but far from boring and always gets positive comments.
