Donkervoort made a step with the announcement of the Coupe . . . They should do a '21' . . .
There are some, I have a carmagazine with a Caterham 21 GTO but don't know if anny is for street use though...the only picture and its a very wrong picture on the net is this orange excample but it looks wierd on the picture, the pictures I have from a carmag is beautifull.
maybe its time for McLaren to build a new F1 even better styled and not with the 2x S50-30 3.0L M3 together(V12 612ps) but with the newer 2x S54 engine they could "easely get 700ps NA from that...sounds good to me

never understood why they stopped making it..I believed it had great potentional
One word - Elise.
Similar price, better handling, better build quality and you got some little doors. Caterham went head to head with Lotus and lost.
Shame, 'cos I like the idea of the 21.
Eighteen more words - windows you have to unclip and stack carefully in the garage before going out on a hot day. Or something. I too like the idea, and the look, and I love that yummy ally finish
update the list, to add a special car only one ever made, my new car the "Hartge Z3 coupe 5.0" with V8 and according to some people 420 HP and around 530 NM its fast too but a bit of an animal to drive even in the dry...so I will loose sprints but once over say 100km/u I get the power on the road again and pointing(I hope) to the horizon
Its also now the first real as Hartge registered car in the Netherlands they had to activate a new account for that, how cool is that
After all those years and millions of cars in NL I managed to put Hartge on the RDW(car registration base) what a simple man can achieve...

thanks guys, and yep very close to Germany only 30km
yesterday a little d-tour on the autobhan to touch the 300km/h and it still felt stable, so Herbert Hartge did a great job with his ex car.

Vegantune Elan:
Talking to fellow PHer chau, he has one, and I have the other or a grand total of 2 hardtops. (info from chau's conversation with the former bosses of Vegantune a few years ago. they reckoned there may have been 1 soft top one produced as well)
They were the prototypes for the Evante.

There were several special editions towards the end of Delta Integrale Evo production... Martini 5 (400), Verde York (500), Martini 6 (310), Club Italia (15), Dealer's Collection (177), Final Edition (250), Club HiFi (20) and the Delta Cabrio (only two made)... The spider was commissioned especially by Giovanni Agnelli...
Rene, how about the ASA1000 and the Cisitalia???

Now on the Austin theme...
Austin 7 "Ulster" - approx. 300 built.
Must be one of few cars where more replicas exist, (of which I own 1) than originals...
You then get to the TT versions, (even narrower - bigger supercharger etc etc) less than 10 built and very few left. (Can't find a modern photo - but they are bright orange).

Just been looking through this thread, some really beautiful cars posted! Here's my offering, not so exotic but hopefully interesting!
This is my 1990 Jaguar XJR, which is based on the 'XJ40' XJ6:
500 of these models were made and sold in the UK only. They are becoming quite rare now, with less than 120 thought to still on the road, and there's a lot of neglected examples around.
The early 3.6l cars were built by Tom Walkinshaw Racing and are distinguished by body colour plastic bumpers. The later 4.0l cars like mine were built by Jaguar's 'Jaguarsport' devision.
Changes to the standard XJ6 4.0l models included: Jaguarsport inlet and exhaust manifold, Jaguarsport inlet cam, remapped ECU, 16" Jaguarsport alloy wheels with Pirelli P6000 tyres, full XJR bodykit, Bilstein dampers with uprated shorter springs, thicker anti-roll bar, and Jaguarsport leather interior.
