I recognise your car, where is it now ?

Or did you cut it up and make a japcrap something or other out of it ? you know, something worthwhile hehe
It was built by Roger Grundy of Brack Pack fame and featured in Custom Car in the nineties. I bought it from Wisbech Engineering and sold it a few years later to a chap from Norfolk, who undertook a complete rebuild to a fantastic standard and it was then in CC again. It was resprayed orange (the Focus RS shade I think).

I wonder if its the car aspirated saw in Manchester ?

I've got a '37 chevy stashed too as "the next one".. looking forwards to doing that one. Got to get this one done first.

Every time something like this is posted I know it's going to be proceeded by something awful.

Oh, wait, in this occasion just mediocre.

Rauh Welt are basically Kahn for classic Porsches IMO. Huge ill-fitting bodykits and massive wheels with no supporting engine modifications in most cases. In my view, they're about as "decently modified" as Corsas with wide body kits.

Anyway...

Boring Audi estate with slightly iffy wheels

Why on earth would you put all that effort into that Audi then make it look stupid by bolting the numberplate on in the wrong place? I could almost understand it if they hadn't clearly left the normal mounting point visible.

No idea. I'd kind of get it if he'd cut the bumper and removed the mounting point to feed the intercooler, but he hasn't.

I wonder if the plastic plate that fits into the front of the bumper to cover the 'licence' plate( since it's yanky) recess can be removed to reveal a huge hole for the intercooler.

Pebble beach?
I thought it was a amusing comment, perhaps it would be harsh to include it in it's own right in the "stupid things non petrolheads say" on the basis that the author has awareness of Pebble Beach.

FYI Monkey Spanker - Pebble beach is a bit more upmarket more akin to the British Goodwood festival. It's largely pre & post war originals & restorations with a few concept cars scattered around the place but until very very recently there were NO modified cars and no modified parts allowed on show cars!!

This is a bit more typical of the look.

And in keeping with the thread , from Pebble Beach, these hand crafted cars with unibody chassis and 40s Ford Flatheads. I prefer the blue one as the wheels/arches are better fitted.

I hope this sort of counts, as it's still a work in progress over on 22b.

This one is the Driftwerks DW86 and it's marvellous

A Corolla AE86, stripped out and refitted with a 580bhp LS3 V8, minimal silencing, 10 inch wide wheels and produces just about more smoke than anything on the drifting scene.

Nice write up there Crafty, thanks

This was my '39 Coupe.

Shame that beautiful, quality metal was used to make such an awful car and wasn't used for something decent eh? biggrin
My '38. Not quite as shiny as yours, but yours is a bit newer....

Isnt it an american Ascar with an AE86 body plonked on? Im Sure when I spoke to the guys they said that was the case. Either way, its mental.
