They are saving money by having a single AD trying to sell multiple cars - I suspect autotrader would be peeved if they knew.

AFAIK autotrader adverts for less than a grand are free, hence why lots of car you look at have a 'real' price in the text.

Thanks - I never knew that, explains as you say, why many adverts have the price in the text, and also why so many adverts have the monthly hp charge in the price field.
