Great car/plate ratio
That's an interesting anomaly...not sold by DVLA but my bible says 'reverse N' was only issued by Manchester from 1000 up in 1959... there are lots of interesting strange issues out of series, often down to having a mate in the local licensing office!

That’s fantastic. No doubt a plate that’s been in a family for many years. Love that. Let’s not forget that 1 AN is the infamous non-transferable plate on a Morris Minor.

One of note from me this week: VH 1 on a Kia Sportage.
I was surprised to see " 14 N " was indeed a Auctuon plate..sold for £6400 + VAT Etc Sep 96... Another great investment...! clap Interesting to see both plates are now worth more than the car s there on...!

Meanwhile shamefully " 1 AN " sits on that old Moggy 1000.. readit
Ah, OK, so not an anomaly! I put it in the DVLA site and it didn't return anything?

What sort of figure might the plate "8 BFW" be worth?

Thanks.

S6 on a Bentley on the M40 on Monday. There was also a "WO" Bentley in Oxford Services (posted in the Cool Classics thread) so I wondered if there was a bit of a do somewhere.

Are 'ordinary' automobiles not allowed 'cherished' plates?

As I've said here many times before, I do not get this idea that expensive plates "must" be on expensive cars.

"If he can afford this plate why not have a better car?" - what if they're not interested in cars or the plate has been handed through the family.
