Those Escorts were as bad as the Mondeo was good.
I enjoyed a T reg blue Escort finesse with A/C and wheelarch rust as a shed for a good few years. To be fair, the Zetec never let me down , nor did the electrics, if the bodywork hadn't done for it I'd still own it. 142k with no oil leaks, mis matched premium tyres and a peculiar smell when it was damp, I really miss the old girl.spreadsheet monkey said:

This purple Panda has achieved minor fame among the assorted journalists and vloggers and hangers-on of Car Twitter (I reckon they all read this thread). Someone has now put an offer in on it.https://twitter.com/autopap/status/139041046612037...
Turns out it is rather crusty.
Not sure if a yellow convertible in midge central counts, but you defo don't see many of these around.

If it actually was £1234 not £3495, I wouldn't have wasted time posting it here, it'd be in my garage already. Sadly a bit above my self-imposed looking-for-a-'vert-for-summer budget, but still reasonably priced I think for something which could realistically be heading for proper classic status.

That’s so horrid that I love it. I’d imagine it breaks a lot and isn’t nice to drive but I’d be happy to own it. 0a said:
Apart from the robot opera advert.... "Family car, family car", I'm not sure they were ever cool. Rotted like hell.LuS1fer said:

(Bonus point available for naming the track Clue: I think there's a chicane about there these days)

This is sensational. Buy it and your life will be instantly improved.
Just the perfect seaside runabout, whether that's for the house in Sandbanks or the beach hut in Blackpool (I don't know if there are beach huts in blackpool, but whatevs ).

Love that in yellow and I'm sure it'd be great fun once I'd wedged myself in.https://www.gumtree.com/p/honda/classic-car-honda-...

I know it's only a tiny buzzy thing, but given the current Covid pricing madness, and the direction of travel of prices of the S2000 and the CRX Del Sol, I thought this would be £5k.

4 speed gearbox, YES!!The Mk5 Escort was way off the pace when it was a new car, but the estate was a bit more interesting looking than the hatchback, and viewed as a 30 year old classic this is a cheap way into the modern classic Ford scene if you can fix a few cosmetic bits. Alternatively, it's a good candidate for the Festival Of The Unexceptional (although that is damning with faint praise!)
I hope it stays preserved as a basic family car, and not resprayed lime green with a Focus ST engine transplant.
