Modern super/hyper cars leave me cold. However, I bloody love this! Nice size, lightweight, manual gearbox cloud9
Is it Gordon Murrays follow up to the F1?
Such a shame its not auto, technology has moved on so far in robotised manual, having to move a lever and press a pedal in a car with this pedigree seems boorish
I fear you've missed a fundamental point here.
He certainly has.
Fancy some nobody on the internet lecturing GM on what he should have done when building this.

Pretentious, moi!?

Re the T.50 Harry’s Garage: it’s a good watch and very informative. I’ve not watched any others but did start Catchpole’s (I think) and will see what other info it has.
Refreshing to hear GM say how many of those with orders in wanted a manual gearbox but crazy that it can rev out in 0.5 seconds at idle.

I have a car issue that those familiar with a more modern car may be able to help with:
My 240 has decided to insist I connect one of my iPhones (work phone) with apple play when up until a couple of weeks ago it was happy with the standard interface. I don’t have it on my phone and as far as I’m aware there has not been an update on my phone. If I delete the the phone then re-connect it finds it and works as before until I turn the car off.
Has anyone else experienced this and is the easy answer get apple play? Are there any downsides? Apologies if this is basic stuff but not my area of expertise at all.
Thanks in advance.

Oh, eta. BMW info says apple play only available on the pro stereo which mine doesn’t have...

The Harrys Garage T50 video is fascinating.
I have two copies of Driving Ambition as well; will read one eventually!

So, M5's like clutches, who knew!

I have to say, that T50 is very appealing, the most appealing hypercar since the CGT for me, the new Lotus Evija wouldn't even see my hypothetical 3mill. Its a little bland looking, but you know everything is there for a very good reason, i suspect, even at 3 mill (I think), it will be a sensible investment.

Both cars I absolutely love, and both I’d look like I was sat in a kids pedal car laugh

I fit in a Spyder comfortably, and I'd pay money to see Chris try and squeeze in to one laugh

I would be pretty sure my legs are significantly longer than the pedal to seat back distance. My arse would be about half way up the back rest laugh

Love the 550, but i cant help but be a little disappointed by the drivetrain in such a wonderfull looking thing. They always feature in the various classic races, and are very fast in their class, but wouldn't want to bend one!

Just a heads up for Tyrell's Classic Workshop on Youtube, well worth a subscribe, some nice in depth pieces on restos they are doing and some nice little tips and techniques (They did Harry's Espada)

Always loved the Fiat Dino, once attainable but a little less now, this particular example sounds ruddy wonderful, very meaty induction bark with his tweaks and still very much looks the part.

Skip to 12:00 for the test drive and the noise but the whole vid is nice.

Quick post: black circles are offering £40 off four Michelin tyres.

ETA. Also, I drove a car with HUD the other day. That was an odd experience.

Rather taken by this, has all the track focussed additions I'd like such as mkII brakes and K400 but the age is getting on for a track car. I suppose that's reflected in the price, too many miles and modifications for the investor market and a bit long in the tooth for the track slag brigade.

If I'm thinking of the same car and knowing some of the previous owners I'm not surprised. Is he the type to speak to a potential purchaser or is it going through a SOR dealer to avoid that sort of thing?
