misbadging cars
Discussion
Wish I took a photo but in the last couple of days I’ve been behind two.
First was a Land Rover Discovery Yeti (no idea why they’d put a yeti badge on a Discovery)
Second was a Ford Focus Transit ST RS TDCI. It was a bog standard looking focus with racing stripes. I feel i should be nice about it, the driver looked like he had special needs.

Thanks for that BM. It was odd, when I rang parts at the local MB to ask about several items the technician looked up the hub covers and announced they were the regular blue ones they just carry as stock. When I rang again to order them I spoke to someone else who said they were special order. And the silver ones are what arrived. Anyway, they're much better than the corroding aluminium fake AMG ones.Mercury00 said:
I saw a Range Rover "vouge" the other day I wish I could've gotten a photo of the badge.
A looong time ago I went to a kit car show with a mate who had a Dutton Phaeton. There was a guy with a stall selling badges for various cars - lots of Cobra badges etc. He had a stack of Phaeton badges, all spelled “Pheaton”. Moley RUFC said:
That’s an odd one.....giving the L&K cost more than a vRS
There's a guy who works in my local petrol station has done the same, but it's a vRS spoiler and front badge on an obviously 1.6TDI base-spec with 15" wheels. At least the L&K has xenons and is actually a damn nice place to beess said:
Really don't get why you'd misbadge a car with another manufacturers logo. You won't impress someone who isn't into cars because they won't know the difference, and the people who do know the difference will know it's misbadged and you're a bit of a knob. WarrenB said:

You do impress other misbadgers though...and there are plenty. Guy in an Audi RS4 2.0 TDI would be pretty impressed by that.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
