Is the Crane Truck a better kit?

Update: Just purchased the crane truck from Amazon at £198.95 inc delivery. I think it's worth it as the set has been discontinued for a while and it will only go up in value. As the unimog hasn't been out for a while I will wait until my birthday (March) to get that.
I hope you are right, I just bought one to keep at home in its box, it shall go in the loft to be sold in a few years.
Might buy a unimog too.

...just did, hope you're right!..out of interest how often do these things have missing bits? When I was a boy I used to get these kits for christmas and by the end of boxing day I'd be back down toys r us with dad exchanging it for another kit because parts were missing all over the model.

There were none missing on my Mog and the nephew must have had over 20 sets of the stuff in the last 3 or 4 months (I know but he's 5 and it'll have another 10+ years life with him alone!) and not had one missing piece as yet (although his father and I might have hidden the Speed Gun on one of the Police sets as we don't want him growing up thinking that sort of thing is acceptable hehe )

Did you check 'the bay'? They're cheaper at the moment than Amazon. Check a few posts up, Amazon.de is A LOT cheaper. I got mine for £161.

I'm currently being told being asked to do something with them but replacing the tele doesn't seem to wash. Breaking them down and storing them in the loft seems the only solution. Don't think I'll sell them yet though.

I got the Unimog for 151.10 and 188 for the crane truck, both inc postage...

I can see the idea of keeping them unopened going out of the window pretty quick if I ever go back to the UK, however that shouldn't happen.

I have been advised that the windowsill in the front room is not the place for parking UniMogs frown

Probably best to dismantle after a while and box it back up with all the bits in resealable bags. Saves it getting all dusty and faded. Then in a few months/years you can enjoy rebuilding it smile Or sell it if the price has rocketed up to £500! wink

Wahey, I remember having that car bought for me back in the day biggrin

I think we were in York at the time.

Then a year or so later my friend got the new red Supercar... jealous or what...

But looking back, the one I had has 'aged' better imo biggrin

I have a spare one of these. Unopened. Anyone in the Manchester area who wants to part with £140? Been let down by a colleague.

Ex colleague. Corporate sell-out biggrin Anyway, one day you'll realise how generous my offer was, and regret the day you turned it down! Cash in the hand is worth three times as much in Paypal.

I want the Unimog however struggling to find one as there are no decent toy/model shops in the Gloucester area (ToysRus dont sell it) & the prices on Amazon & Ebay are ridiculous.

Also want the Ferrari F1 & Ferrari Enzo however Ebay prices are, yet again, silly so doubt i will get either of them

Built so far this month the supercar, the air sea rescue helicopter & the truck with the cherry picker.

About to order the camper van & i quite like the look of the flatbed low-loader truck so that will probably also be bought this week.

It's adictive stuff this Technic - my six year has got loads of normal Lego although he now wants the motorbike that Argos have got around £35 so that is being bought for him (me....) tomorrow.

SWMBO thinks i am nuts wanting to build lego at 53 but who cares? She is however probably correct in her assumption!
