I didn’t pay the extra for an automatic gearbox to then have to use my left leg.
If I wanted to use my left leg I would have bought a manual gearbox car.
Seriously??? If I wanted to use my left leg I would have bought a manual gearbox car.

...The only reason I do it is because there are two pedals and I have two feet...
This is why I now rarely drive a car with a clutch pedal. Making my third lower appendage function with sufficient speed is becoming increasingly difficult with age.My old Land-Rover was easy to shift without using the clutch; knackered synchros probably played a part!
It also provided an involuntary introduction to LFB: rushing, in danger of being late for work, I stuffed my feet into my boots without tying the laces. When I tried to brake I found the lace on my right boot was trapped in the door and my foot would not reach the brake pedal. I knocked it into neutral and braked to a stop with my left foot.
I did spend a morning driving an automatic BMW 335D under instruction. I was encouraged to try LFB; I didn’t find it hard to adjust to doing it and I think that it allows for smoother progress as your left foot is starting to brake while the right foot is coming off the gas. The transition from “go” to “slow” feels more considered and less hurried. The result is a smoother drive; who doesn’t want that?

I got a mental image of Doc Brown in Back to the Future when he couldn't connect the plugs. I dont think anyone is saying that left foot braking isnt quicker in terms of reaction times as I think we all know that it is.
ReallySo someone with a dominant right foot who has rfb the majority of their life will have the same reactions and skill with their left foot as their right?
Okaaaaay then
Is it because I have god-like abilities?
Nah, it is because I learned how to do it.
We humans can learn far more complex things than pushing a brake pedal with our other foot. Why is there such furore about it?
I watched my straighter learn how to walk a few years ago. That's a damned sight more complex than braking with one foot or the other. She managed it and she wasn't even a year old. Funny how she could do that and you find it impossible to imagine doing something far more simple!
