Nice.
That seems cheap to me? Lovely thing.

What are the differences between that and a 300-24?
300E: 3.0 12v 180 bhp
300E - 24: 3.0 24v dohc 220 bhp
320E: 3.2 24v also 220 bhp but much more torque

The 300 was the top of the range before being briefly joined by the 300-24, then they were both replaced by the 320 which was used across the range.

The 300E-24 is essential if you're into bootlid top trumps.

That is a great find, the pinnacle of barge value purchases. Also, we almost never seem to have ads from PH, either.

Do long term members still get free PH classified ads?

I have to admit I always forget about searching PH classified for cars. I usually start at autotrader or ebay, or sometimes gumtree (but I think gumtree ads are on ebay) and then it's too late to try anywhere else, as I have already spent way too much time deep in the autotrader or ebay rabbit hole and a loser has to sleep sometime.

Excellent beardage.

That E300 is a lovely looking thing. I reckon it'd be on for nearly double that, if it was an estate.

That exact car ad was the subject of a front page PH "spotted" article, high mileage club I think it was called. Don't know much about Legends but the article certainly piqued my interest just for the sheer bang for buck on the equipment levels. It has a feel of poor mans Lexus about it.

As it's Friday tomorrow I thought I'd share that eBay listing for a crusty W210 estate that's showing you can get a lot of junk in the trunk:

I love that 300-24. My old green 300e from that era was the best w124 I owned.

How unusual is this - 300-24 manual. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174850750346?_trkparms=...

Sorry old fruit, but you're making the classic schoolboy error of confusing power with length. We're sufficiently close to Friday for it to be all about length.

Indeed, but it was nice to see, to compare. That photo of the older silver one is great. One man's meat is another man's poison etc.

The S124 is one of those cars where the estate form looks better? That depth of the tailgate glass gives the impression of good rearward vision. While the back end is bigger, it looks neater and better resolved?

If I'm reading the advert correctly, the original owner paid over €100k for that car?

Looks like everyone got a TV too!
