While not technically for sale at this price, this advert makes for amusing reading. If anyone has a scabby old mk2 Mondeo, it will be worth £25k in 10 years apparently! hehe

While utter bullst, the copy in that ad increases the chance that someone will see that old taxi as a future classic by 100 fold.

I don't know wether to be angry at or in admiration of that dealer.

I notice they don't show the plates to let you check if/why it failed MOT! Instead they list it as 'Expired'. I take that to mean it is beyond getting one

I'm guessing it's full of rusty holes underneath. That makes it about 10x overpriced at £299, I guesstimate

I clicked on the link and I saw a price of ‘299’ come up, I didn’t look twice thinking it’s the value of the car, I then find out it’s up for £3,999 and the 299 turned out to be an estimated insurance quote from this advert.

299 is what that car is worth without an MOT, not £3,999 of sterling’s finest. £25,000 in 10 years??? Who needs a buy to let’s when you can buy old Mondeos

Amusingly their list of models that they believe to be ‘worthy of distinction’ to be accepted as PX doesn’t include Mondeos rofl

They're a joke:

"We sell exclusively to car dealers, car collectors and investors. Basically people who make a living out of investing, restoring and retailing cars."

"Okay, so you’ve found the car you want but you don’t have the money or the space to accommodate the car. No problem."

What kind of collector/investor can't afford £100 to reserve it and doesn't have space for a car?

That’s moronic! Also trying to dodge out of dealer responsibilities under CRA by the sound of it. No idea whatsoever as to what makes them think it’ll be worth £25k in 10 years. It’s not as if Granada Scorpios are worth £25k today. On top of that it sounds like a shed example.

Priced in the stratosphere, so no ordinary price exists. $7,200,000 I suppose this is in the 'it's worth what someone will pay for it' category. I don't look in Koenigsegg very often, but from memory, it's been here for some considerable time. Draw your own conclusions.

My grandad had one just like that and his MOT sheets looked like that by about 2005!

£5.6m for the only RHD example of a run of 6 cars. There will be a very limited market for a car like this. Therefore it will take longer to sell - not necessarily because of the price.

Yeah someone with that sort of money to burn just has to be in a koenigsegg type of mood that particular day and actually know it’s for sale I guess.

Price seems right to me, 100k mile manual coupe M3’s hover around the 10 k mark, the rest are all SMG cabs so 18 for a low mileage pristine model sounds about right. If that was carbon black, would be up for at least 20 I reckon.

Ps, is that Austin Yellow?
