I see a VW Beetle regularly on my commute with the plate: K4ITY. Needless to see the 'I' is a J heavily butchered.

This is a very common factor running throughout the pictures on this thread.

Crap plates have crap drivers shock.

rolleyes
Might have been an automatic
Guy who did my most recent car training, also trains bodyguards, special forces, and police (so knows his st basically) told me to use the footbrake wherever it was safe to do so.

He had the statistics to hand showing that automatic drivers have fewer rear end shunts whilst stationary, leading theory is that this is because they have the brake light on.

Easier and safer. That'll do me.

For that very reason if I'm stopped at lights or at the end of a queue of traffic etc., I'll keep the footbrake on until at least a coupe of cars have stopped behind me.

Anyway, crappy numberplates...

It might be a lot different for police and bodyguards etc but blinding every f*cker behind really annoys me. How would they like it if I just sat there on main beam as it's safer for me?

This is a good way to solve the problem, as it spreads the glare to acceptable levels.

Blinding you with brake lights? Are you serious? How do you cope with sunlight? More importantly have you written to the daily mail about it?

Now I think of it he also said the brakes were stronger, presumably that's an advantages if you're at the front and being pushing into turning traffic is a concern.

Shining a torch into my eyesd doesn't harm them but it doesn't stop it being annoying. LEDs are also far too bright.
Listen, if you're right, maybe they should outlaw handbrakes.

Well the world can't legislate for our little annoyances.

Yeah I don't see any issue with that. Unless plan to park your car.

Sometimes, just sometimes, I feel a certain admiration for a mis-spaced, not legal plate . . .

For those chastising the 5 series GT driver for brake lights, you might find that they don't have their foot on the brake but are using the Auto Hold feature which is effectively an auto applied handbrake but the brake lights remain on

It's the same with shops. i always end up behind the person who just watched the cashier blip 77 items and then they look surprised when they are asked for payment. They then proceed to faf around looking in all their bags for their purse then fumble around trying to 'save time' by giving the cashier the exact amount of money.

URGH. there should be a separate town for people that have their st together!
'look surprised when they are asked for payment.' LOVE it, I put this up on the 'knob' thread...I'll forgive you if you're old, we'll all be there one day, but no excuse if you're under 70! Any way, this is O/T, back to crappy plates...

And here we go...very regrettably no photo, but saw S1 YPE with more screws than Jordan turning it into S TYPE. And it was in British Racing Green, a colour only appropriate on an old sports car. Horrid
