How about £45,000 for a car Bono might have owned? About 8 times overpriced. Extra points for a terrible advert including 2 different prices.

That's convinced me! Where do I sign?

Price seems right to me, 100k mile manual coupe M3’s hover around the 10 k mark, the rest are all SMG cabs so 18 for a low mileage pristine model sounds about right. If that was carbon black, would be up for at least 20 I reckon.

Ps, is that Austin Yellow?
Yep,i don't think that's silly money at all for a low mile manual E46 M3 Coupe.. It's a shame it wasn't Daker yellow i would have be tempted to add it to my little collection..
It's a little overpriced, but not deserving of this thread.

That’s a very cool car, no denying but 45 grand! With that mileage!

He would have been better off trying to convince us it’s a true classic than justifying the price because it may have been in a U2 music video laugh

Seriously though, if I won the lottery, I’ll start a TV show and interview people like this seller and the one trying to sell a 300 pound mondeo for 4 grand because it’s going to be worth £25,000 in 10 years. Seriously, where do these people get these ideas from ?!

Well isn't funny what Google can turn up. It appears that Bono DID own a silver Mercedes 450SEL and he put it into a charity auction to raise money for Ethopia in 2000.

The car appeared again in 2013 on EBay for 99k Euro, lowered to 45k then to 38k before vanishing again.... until now.

It is also claimed that there was/is a £15k stereo system installed - hard to believe - probably a cassette deck with a 30band graphic equaliser an half a dozen 6x9s.

Exactly - once I've finished in the gym I'll get one of the lads to go round with a bag of used tenners.

Really, if you are going to sell some pop memorabilia, you need to prove the provenance with some photo's or documentation. Not just stick the car up for 10 times the market value accompanied by some stty photos and a tenuous claim to connection with pop history.

Doesn't seem overpriced to me. Still wouldn't touch it though, been for sale since Feb 2017.

What do we think of this then?

Does only having 5000 miles make this Evo 7 worth 35k?

The decimal point was in the wrong place yesterday.

They're also recycling adverts - it's not been with them that long unless they did 10k miles in it.

Well its not totally bonkers priced, I think the only reason it might be dodge is its the rather unloved Evo 7.

The blue 2.8? Looks quite nice.... and I do like XR4x4s (paid 400 quid for my 2.9 back in 2007 - excellent condition with receipts for work totaling about 8 grand in the glovebox!)

I'd have another in a heartbeat if they weren't so over-priced IMO.
