This is the same with nearly all my mates who are well off. Apart from one chap I know who was a skip lorry driver and started his own cardboard recycling business and is now pretty well off, everyone else has left private school and works in the family business. They have no value of money and waste it on random cars, changing them all the time, endless gadgets and drink. I went to the pub with my mate last night, he has just got his mrs a Tesla X for the school run. £8k down and £880 a month. Her RR Sport is only 14 months old but she is bored of it so wants something else!

Not his well known fly fishing elderly relative ?
No matter which one was driving, it must have caused a Jam.
I don't know if any jam was involved but there was a curry that wanted a pizza the action... & both drivers have ended up in a pickle.. getmecoat

I'm sure the police from Jiulet Bravo were on the scene quickly from their sleepy village.

Turnover - £27.9m
Gross - £3.4m
Profit before tax - £2.3m
Profit after tax - £1.7m

So 50% of £1.7m. Nice to have of course but to say you're worth £30m?
Whats interesting about the numbers is the Gross Margin...seems modest given the typical difference between buying and selling prices. Therefore I would exact to see a lot of cost buried in Cost of Sales...might be huge expenses for marketing events, advertising etc so there are lots of possible lifestyle benefits here..

I just expected it to be a lot more. I wouldn't turn down £2.3m. It is "only" 50% of £2.3m before tax.

My point was that it's reported that someone is worth £30m when in reality, the numbers are a lot smaller.
I am amazed that everyone thinks that a business is the only source of income and the only source of wealth.

Everyone doesn't though.

There are several mentions of their other enterprises in the thread!

We know Carl was involved.... according to his dad. And another man, driving the Porsche. Maybe it was a self driving " Teslarri" and Carl was just holding the golf clubs and issuing overide instructions?

We also now know 21 pages of ups and downs that we expected and were not disappointed by...
