I spent a bit of my childhood being ferried around in the back of a cinquecento sporting. All the other kids used to laugh at me – but hey, it had red seatbelts, leather steering wheel and a wheel right on the corners – it made good progress down the back roads due to it’s narrow width! We had it from new, and I think the only thing it needed was a new exhaust.

It really was however a tinbox and wouldn’t want to do any long trips in it!

My mum had one in exactly the same colour and spec back in the 80s. Traded for a new yellow 205 1.1 XL. Neither was fast, but both were brilliant little cars

I had a black Fiat Panda Seat Marbella as my first car!

Still had it when I worked at Lotus Motorsport and it died with gearbox failure ~2001

The roundabouts near Hethel were terrorised by that thing - possibly the most fun I've had on 4 wheels (often just 2)!

There are some fantastic roads around Hethel, many a great drive out in various new Lotus' out there and obviously there is that pub.

Actually the Seat probably has greater motorsport provenance (check the driver name):

Indeed, for I have returned.

For the record chaps - try a 4C. It is astonishingly hilarious! Hyperactively frenetic.

I don't think I have laughed so much in a car in a long time.

I was looking at one today, but have never driven one. I like. A lot.

And Seat Toledosportscommutabout is in next week for new brakes and hopefully just a CV joint.

But two roles, two cars although maybe seeing how much I spend on the Seat expressed as petrol may be interesting as a consideration to running the SL full time...

I know where the sister car lives and have first dibs on it... Seriously tempted as it is priced low to take into account that it has not turned a wheel in 7yrs... What could possibly go low?
