But links above to databases all come up blank, as does the DVLA's own site, and cartell.ie. And I think it's safe to assume that such a plate wouldn't make it past the censors and killjoys who compile the DVLA's infamous "do not issue" list of potentially offensive registration numbers. So even if it isn't a photoshop, I'm pretty certain it's going to turn out to be a fake...
Sometimes the odd one gets through though.. This is clearly an old plate though.Questionable number plate WOG1 by Jim Pritchard, on Flickr

Look. It may well not be a photoshop. If that is (as I strongly suspect it is) one Royston Vasey posing by the car, he could well have had a 'show plate' made of a number that doesn't exist, just for the publicity value.

The location of the garage in the background (Stokesley is near Middlesbrough) would suggest that it is indeed Mr. Vasey (aka Chubby Brown) so it it probably a "publicity stunt" fake plate. Rather a damning indictment of the sort of humour that thinks that saying rude words is inherently funny.
I remember seeing this 'comedian' 25 years ago at a mates Stag do, Circus Tavern near Dagenham, I was 27 & whenever he gets mentioned anywhere I always remember that his 'act' stopped being anything other than irritating the 2nd time he said fk or .What a great evening that was...... Not!
My mate is still married to the same girl, I've just recently had an invite to celebrate this.

Yup, definitely looks like the number plate is entirely appropriate to me.
