Convoy to Spa 6 Hrs

OK guys, a month before the big weekend I've just had a week of Ardens. Almost killed the Pug on the twisties and had fun in one of these:
Tribute to Bruce: I picked the orange one . . . despite VW-badge
Second and chasing number one: obviously talented.
My 4-year old daughter was really enjoying this: she's a real speedfreak.
I guess this could well be my choice of weapon attacking the Ring
Seriously: everyone ready and sorted? Hotels and cars and all that?
Is there a list of Dutchies convoying up to Spa, early sat-morning? If not, Bert and I will blast right through and arrive around brekkie-time

A peek at La Source at the 1000kms race. Nice pics, and insight info for the racers. Looks tighter. I can't imagine passing a car there . . .
I did 120 kms at the twisties switching to 4th at 100, brakes gave up on me after a few mins (!) and I almost smacked the car against the green - no effing grip! - going up in a hairpin on the road from Malmedy to Robbertville.
Awesome roads there but what you need is a grippy Chevron B8 or something. One day . . .

10 minute film of the first BOAC 500 Sports Car race at Brands Hatch in April 1967, won by the US Chapparal against Ferrari, Porsche, Lola, etc. Film features ex F1 World Champion driver Jack Brabham and BOAC pilot Hugh Dibley who drove David Piper's Ferrari 275 LM in the race with Roy Pierpoint. Hugh also drove the camera car which was the ex works McLaren CanAm car lent by Bruce McLaren free of charge. This helped allow the film to be made to an extremely low budget, but still using professional camera crew with aerial shots and film production team.
Proper racingcars: no effing downforce rubbish! Luverly.
Update: big chance there are quite a few Dutchies staying at the Ring just the day longer to meet our posse on the monday.

According to Lola 12! - that's twelve folks - Lola's will race
T70s, T212, Mk2 spyder and the smashing T280.I'll keep you guys posted.
Make sure to bring some earplugs or paracetamol and Red Bull (doesn't work for me, I'm to hyper anyway) because you don't want to miss a single thing.
Early morning test run for the 2 hrs race. At 9ish . . . did I sleep? Not much
With the whole PH-posse coming over there will be even less sleep.
For everyone to know: keep an eye on the Klassiekerrally blog: 274 jpgs! Ai, I wonder if I can get a hold of myself, Spa is 3x longer . . .
