Minister of local government even considers to dismantle some of the new buildings (obviously not the track or the Gruene Hoelle, grand stands etc. but maybe the rollercoaster and Eifeldorf.

In which case the news "Richter/Lindner (NAG) officially sacked as Nurburgring operators," will be subject to some lengthy legal proceedings?
Only if they challenge it, which i guess they are bound to, unless they get a very handsome out of court settlement!

I recently took a leaseholder to court for not paying ground rent and maintenance (as freeholder), as mentioned elsewhere this was a relatively simple case, 1.5 years and it still didnt get to court which i wont bore you with as to why!

The immediate future doesnt look good i would say.

Can only be a good idea to get these morons out of the contract, and bring someone new in who has interest in motosport, and not just the money. It would be great if a company like Motosport Vison got involved with a Ring, they have done a fantastic job managing UK race circuits

What's he going to dismantle them with, a cheeky grin and a spanner? That will cost a lot of money just to spite people.

I think you have no idea of how much a building cost to be built, things like hotels, roller coasters and bonus back to construction companies can be a fortune and they are a necessity for a race track... don't forget also the big paycheck that the management pay themselves...

Was it like the rollercoaster I used to build in Theme Park where it threw everyone who rode it to the doom in a giant lake surrounded by clowns?

After reading the update on the PH story, I wonder whether Herr Dr Palmer would be interested?

Not the silliest thought, actually - and you can guarantee it's (at the very least) crossed his mind.

Are you crazy? I'm sure a rollercoaster costs at least 300 million (301 million if you want it to work though).

Im quite serious. Whether a British firm would stand a serious chance to be anything other than a caretaker though, I do wonder.

There must be a British bank involved somewhere!
I believe they spunked it on all the new development at the site, the unfinished roller coaster et. al. in the hope that the extra facilities would earn that back with interest. I guess they'll never get to find out now!

It was obvious from the outset it wouldn't get anywhere near the projected visitor numbers. The 'theme park' is utterly rubbish, apart from the ring-bus ride which is so cheesy it's quite good.
