Grr. £70 of VPower diesel bought on Saturday frown
8p/litre dearer than normal diesel in my local station. What kind of differential is everyone else paying?

My local is a participating station. They're currently 139.9p/l and tomorrow is my bi-weekly fill-up day so thank you OP.

Every little helps etc.

Unleaded V-Power down to within a penny of ordinary unleaded. 133.9 against 132.9. I'm filling my motors today smile

Went back last night to fill the other car with unleaded V-power and the price had gone up 2p from the morning, yet ordinary unleaded hadn't. So you get 5p off but the price had gone up 2p. Cheeky b*****ds!

I found exactly this. I needed diesel anyway so 3p more a litre than the usual diesel but I found it a bit cheeky that if it hadn't have been 5p off it would have been £1.47/litre.
Like people said it's the saving of a pint so not really something worth driving cross country for hehe

Better than my local Shell in Edinburgh. The bloke had no idea of the promotion!

I've got no idea if I got it at a reduced cost or not, regular was 132, v-power 136 (I think). If it was 5p off then I suspect they've put the price up cheekily as well.

Time to start using Tesco Momentum with a clubcard, me thinks.

I didn't get to my station until near 11pm last night. Sure enough, £1.349 was the price. They even went to the trouble to put s[pecial little stickers on the pumps to let you know.

It's a sad state of affairs when such a small token garners such appreciation. Well done Shell Marketing...

My local shell were at 140.4 for Vpower petrol and 148.4 for diesel, now the diesel looked no cheaper to me eventhough the attendent was adamant that the 5p had been taken off diesel, it did not appear so to me, I'll have to check next time I'm in there.

ETA @cyder, I'm referring to the same station.........

This!

Our local Shell garage was always the cheapest in the area.

Prices went up on Saturday so they were one of the most expensive.

Filled up 10.30pm last night, didn't think to check the price, just assumed I would be getting the 5p off. Looked on my receipt today, and it transpires that I was charged 140.9 which is the std V-Power price.

Because I'm sad like that, and as it's on my way home from work, I asked in there today why it wasn't lowered. And they said the offer ended at 10pm (they only told me this after they asked what time I came in - maybe if I had said 9.30 they'd have said it ended at 9?!).

Are they correct in saying it ended at 10pm? Surely a "14th Feb" promotion runs all day?

I know it's only a few quid, but if they advertise it (which they were at that site) then I want the discount!!

My local shell station was shut due to the tanker being there when I got to it yesterday, typical.

Oddly the Shell in Carlisle slapped 2p on unleaded and a penny on diseasel over the weekend, then knocked the penny back off diseasel on Tuesday then put it back up yesterday... No idea on their pricing strategy!

They charge a cheeky 8p/L premium for VP unleaded so it ended up working out at 3p more than 95RON, better than a slap in the face I suppose!
