RE: Spotted - Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione III
Discussion
I own an Evo 1 and am having hard time trying to comprehend how you found an integrale disapointing.
I too have been lucky enough to own and drive some glorious cars, from 911s to Lotus Carltons, and my Evo is the most exhilerating and fun car to drive, and one of the best handling
one thing you dont get with an integrale, is anything being there for show, the wheel arches are for a wider track and better corning, the bonnet bulge to house the injection plenum and allow for the raised suspension turrets in the later models, pure purpose not show.
maybe you need a drive in one with someone who knows how to drive a 4WD high performance car.
or maybe you are just looking for a reaction?!?!?

£85k!? hahahahahahaha, no chance! I know the Integrale has a following, but even the most hardcore fan couldn't be crazy enough to put that much cash into this.
I've driven Evo 1 & 2's & personally found these cars to be rather disappointing, yet i'm still a fan of these, but not to the tune of £85k.

Definitely one for the dream garage... even at £85k I would!
My cousin sold his Evo 1 Giallo a couple of months ago, will never forget my drive in that car, despite its age it was like nothing else I'd driven - so involving with nothing to intervene but my own inputs...

Its still one of many unlike this one which is 1 of, well errr...1. Wasn't this discussed in the 26K RS1600i thread?
It was, at length if I recall lol
A mint Evo2 in that condition I doubt would fetch half that, unless someone wanted it real bad. So it's a prototype of a car they didn't get round to making, and on the back of LOADS of limited edition Integrales already out there. With no rally provenance to speak of, well no more than an Evo 1 or 2. Which it effectively is, just another limited edition Integrale, not a groundbreaking evolution step.
Saying that, I LOVE Integrales and would love that version. But its nowt to get excited about any more than any other Evo limited edition. I hope the current owner wasn't suckered into paying over the odds.

that is a lovely tning, and somebody somwhere will eventually pay near enough that figure, but I know where my £85k would be going if I was looking for a modern useable classic at that price point..one of the Jensen Interceptor rebuilds that I have seen advertised on here or a 993 Turbo S
There is little point in debating whether this car is worth £85k.
Its a collectors piece, a true one off that appears with significant photos and text dedicated in all the books about the integrale. Someone will buy it and stick it away somewhere and probably double their money over the next 10 to 15 years.
Personally, even if it is a piece of history, my £85k would go towards an ex works car to play with to supplement my road car. I dont particularly like the colour anyway!
Just to confirm original build numbers
Evo 1 4650 cars plus 1685 limited editions
Evo 2 1224 cars plus 1257 limited editions
Evo 3 1 car

Er, I own an Evo1 and recently spent the day ragging a GTR round Silverstone. Faster, yes obviously, but not nearly as involving. The integrale is one of the best driver's cars ever made. Period. Modern nanny-knows-best electronics, pound-piling safety regs and a ballsed up WRC means you will never see its like again.

Love Lancia Integrale's in original format.Rob
Totally and frustratingly agree with ballsed up WRC....
I have owned and loved my DC for 11 years, she was my baby, but now I have two real babies, I am having to part.
Yes you can use it as a family car, but baby sits dont look good in the back with the Recaros in the front.
I will have another in the future, but for now, this is mine.....

I think I would have a Hyena, before the Evo3, lighter body....
ps It is Candy Red - A Cadillac Colour![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)

You know how your mind drifts off when you are on a mundane journey, perhaps on the way home from the school run? You get to places and realise that you don't remember the details of the drive.
That never happened when I had my integrale 8v, I was always full on alery. It was a fantastic car. If anyone knows what happened to F123 TPA I'd be curious to know.

"The 2.0-litre engine had a bespoke Weber-Marelli fuel injection system, with an I.A.W P8 integral engine management re-map, raising boost pressure on the Garrett T03 turbo over 1.0 bar, taking power to 237hp (now 2,500rpm higher at 6,000rpm) and torque to 236lb ft, wider ranging from 2,500-6,000rpm."
An extra zero in 2,500 perhaps?
