Well if you know that's a possibility then you ought to have been ready for it.Addmittedly though, I like to straight line roundabouts and it's irritating if you slow down to open up a gap but it's still not enough.

I must admit I have done this. I drive a Ford KA that has a very thick pillar round it windscreen and being just 5foot 5" I have the seat along way forward, so there is a blind spot often just where a car would be on a roundabout. That mean I sometimes stop to check.
If you're going to stop, then stop in an orderly manner. Just don't pretend you're going to carry on, and then suddenly stop!KrazyIvan said:
Playing Devils Advocate, perhaps they saw something you didn't, like a fox or cat running towards the road. I have had this in the past where latish one night someone's small dog ran across the road, I slammed on my brakes to avoid hitting it and the car behind barley stopped, then promptly stood on his horn, pulled around me and nearly hit the woman chasing the dog across the road.
so two stupid sentimentalists nearly caused another driver a big problem? Well done, both.Pothole said:

I was motorcycling round a roundabout, old biddy approached rdbt, stopped at Give Way line and then pulled out right in front of me, so I hit her. She claimed I was a going a million miles an hour and was not visible when she pulled out.
Anyhoo, she was asked in court by the prosecution solicitor why she had initially stopped at the Give Way sign. Her reply, 'because you have to'.
Obviously she got banged up in chokey. Actually she got 6 points but it doesn't sound as good.

People are absolutely entitled to stop at roundabouts or t junctions. If others didn't drive so close or too fast, it wouldn't matter.
This basically. I just don't get the problem as although I enjoy my car on clear open roads I don't sit 2 foot behind other drivers, expect people to drive like I would like them too or whatever else it is that causes PHers to rant about perfectly legal behaviour.OP isn't moaning as such but it does seem a common thing on here that people drive too close, too fast and way too pushily and then get upset about it when someone does something they weren't expecting.

I used to live in Clenchwarton until I moved to Norwich for work, so know that junction well. I noticed on my last trip to my mum's that they've changed it so left turners give way to the right turners now, is that any better? Seems an odd setup to me!ETA: Just seen your other videos about the accident. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's a bad design.

Lean back/forward and look like a 'tard on an imaginary rocking horse as you drive down the road. The Police, Fire Service and Council asked for copies of the video to see what happened and how. It was the first time one had been recorded but the outcome was pretty much identical. As a result of the video the junction has been changed. The internet works.

I had the opposite on Saturday night. Being tailgated by a numpty as we approached a roundabout, I had a good look, eased off a little, changed to 3rd and carried on. He virtually stopped then caught up and sat on my bumper again.
Next roundabout same procedure.
Tight turning off for me to get into, so I slowed down gently, what with him reading the small print on my number plate and liable to hit me if I did anythign sudden. He hooted and got quite angry.
They're just out there.
A local road to me has mini roundabouts and chicanes Next roundabout same procedure.

I lose them on every hazard and then they speed to catch me up - happens almost on a daily basis
There are people who can 'drive' and those who can move a car fast in a straight line
