Totally disagree, think this only adds to the appeal of the GT86, just depends on the price

Soft top / convertible doesn't appeal half as much to me as the traditional coupe - the increased cost, weight (presumably) and perhaps accuracy ignore some of the principles the original car seems to be selling it self on..Drop tops have a huge market though (relatively speaking) so if it helps Mr.T shift more to allow more and justify the spend on more extreme versions of the original car, then ok.. :-)

On the point of perceived 'bland' styling, I can't agree with this. The proportions of the car (coupe I mean here) seem almost spot on for me, its just that, much like the 'less is more' approach for both weight and power, the car is not adorned like many other supposed 'sporty' cars (in reality a FWD hatchback with a diesel engine) with a combination of lips, fins, creases and sticky out bits etc. (Audi S-line / BMW M-sport packs being particularly bad culprits for this) for which many buyers have become used to...

Just gets better and better. Well-engineered 2+2 rear-drive convertible with a conventional fabric roof would be fantastic, especially for under £30k.

Between this, its Scooby brother and the 370Z this is a really good time for 'proper' Jap coupes.
