Auto only? Oh well, not for me then.
I guess it's odd if Jag are truly wanting to attract a younger audience. Surely a manual is a requirement?I know things are a foot in the motor industry. But any younger well off petrol in the UK or the EU at large will be knocking at the door or Porsche, BMW or maybe Lotus. All offer a manual box.
In the US £50k or maybe $50-60k pitches it right at the heart of things like top spec Mustang's, Camaro's and more than a few Vette models. All again either exclusively or available with manual gearboxes.
I'm a huge Jag fan, always have been. But a manual would be my choice. I'd have having a manual as an option, even if it didn't sell hugely well would be important just from a marketing point of view and getting people into showrooms.

No clue at all, however.....you obviously know with the scores of detail you refer to here.
Besides - the point is the weight hasn't been released yet, how do PH know?
Not released, 1600kg was presented previously with concept. I hope it is light. At least lighter than bulky corvette.Besides - the point is the weight hasn't been released yet, how do PH know?

I reckon that's a reasonable job of hashing a render together from the clues avaialable.
If it looks like that it'll be awesome, especially in a nice bright colour.

I've heard the JLR management refer to the F-type as 'Jaguar's Evoque'.
Ha!! Hearsay and conjecture I'm sure. Either that or someone somewhere is trying to start a rumour. Can't see how that's 'hearsay and conjecture', especially given that it comes from the same company who makes the Evoque.

I think we can all say with confidence it will be 1600kg, at its heaviest, with the 5.0V8 SC engine. The XK is around 1650kg with 2 extra seats.cocopop said:

Have seen the 'hacks' driving around A45/A46/M40 area (in fact two different cars on tuesday), the proportions look great in fact similar to my Griff just with a slightly higher bonnet line.
That's a worthwhile comparison actually - it'll be the first British car in a long while that's approached the TVR recipe of a curvy V8 roadster. Won't be as raw as a TVR, obviously, but it's in a similar spirit.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
