Yes, not sure why though. Close and re-open them and they tend to work in full-size. Very odd little bug. Someone who knows more about JavaScript than I probably knows what's going on.Baryonyx said:

Looks a nice non-final edition spec in plain silver (not Avus), bi-xenons, no phone prep from what I can see on my phone, 20s, sport mode gearbox (only fitted on 2002 cars), cd navHistory is all so depends on the paper trail and gearbox entertainment

Chaps,
Any suggestions on which saloon has the biggest boot?
Was reckoning on the W140 S class, or possibly LS430 ?
It's got to be a close call between those two. I reckon the LS just nudges ahead though.Any suggestions on which saloon has the biggest boot?

I had a W140 S320 in Texas but I didn't own it long enough to look in the boot much. I decided it really wasn't me and sold it on within a week. Replaced by a 2001 Trans Am WS6 (spanish too!)
Well I'm back in Edinburgh, and guess what.... I arrived by E300! She's a little tattier than the photos suggest (but nothing serious), but covered over 500 miles without any incident, and in comfort. There's no rust, aside from a little bubbling on the door mirror (the mirror lacks adjustment to get it how I like so I need to look at that anyway), the interior is in good condition but will benefit from a clean, and the paint is a bit flat with some surface scratches here and there. But then she was £1,300 and is 20 years old. The engine pulls well, the gearbox is smooth and she pulls up dead straight under braking.
They really are lovely things to drive these W124s, it's like driving a train, quite unlike modern cars that feel so flimsy . It feels incredibly solid, and although she's no dragster the kickdown can easily add speed when required on the motorway. All in all a remarkably relaxing journey. I like the woofly creamy engine noise around town.
Amazingly after 20 years there isn't a single squeak, buzz or rattle from the interior (unlike the new S I was picked up in a year or so back), and all the gizmos work including the electric rear blind.
All in all I get the W124 thing absolutely now. Like an e34 but more solid and relaxing.
Sorry for the lack of 'live updates' but I had an iphone/water incident last week. I will update in more detail tomorrow but thankyou all for the encouragement here, fingers crossed she starts again tomorrow (the dealer met me at the Airport in it so I have not started from cold). Anyway, I'm off to the pub!

Great! Glad you're enjoying it. Had a w124 just the e220 but loved it, ended up keeping it for 4 years and still to this day wish I'd never sold it. Have you discovered the button on the dash that flips the rear headrests down? ..except there's no such thing as an 'R' version of the XJ40. As demonstrated by the cheap XJR label on the back. If there were an XJR40 I doubt it would have all that blingery attached.
Edit: This is bks. There was an XJR40. tt.
That sir is the finest edit I have seen in a long while Edit: This is bks. There was an XJR40. tt.
