Is it silly to worry about..
Discussion
My old man had a lovely black R32 golf. One morning he came down to find the back door broken into and the keys taken and car gone.
Being in his mid 60's he was naturally spooked and went waaaaaay ott with security measures.
It's something that the scumbag criminals don't stop to consider - they just think that they are insured and they'll get paid out. They don't give two hoots how people worry about it happening again etc

I completely disagree with those thinking the majority of car thefts are exotic supercars worth 6 figures. My car is worth about 7k if I sold it (s1 elise) but that attracts more attention than someone whos paid over 20k for a middle of the road bmw/audi etc.
Something like a 4 year old RS4 estate for example, focus st etc are likely to be stolen.
The reality is that any car can be stolen but the reasons behind it are different. Age and value are not always the main criteria for thefts.
An old banger is likely to be stolen simply to joyride, subtle fast cars are stolen to be used in other crimes generally.
With regards to security there is only so much you can do, if they really want it they'll wait for you to come out and put a gun to your head for the keys.
I don't think the car the op is thinking of buying is one that is likely to be targeted though, there's nothing in my mind that sticks out about it in anyway.

With the greatest respect: No.HTH
Besides which, it can be stolen without the keys, so you'll not be disturbed.
