I find i t amusing that an large number of drivers see another car being driven badly, maybe even dangerously, and there first reaction "Ooh, i must now get really close to that car" ;-)

You failed to spot the hazard (the Micra) as such you didn't adjust your driving accordingly (slowing gently being prepared to brake)

Their driving was poor, imo yours was worse.

I think that's a bit unfair. Both drivers could have done better, but I'd say the Micra's mistake was probably marginally worse.

OP is a pussy, I'd have had my hand on the horn for at least 10 seconds.

Two seconds patience would have saved all that.
This.
Sure, the Micra driver is fairly erratic but if OP had kept some distance between himself and the dodder-er it would have been a total non event.

Wonder what the Bib would say if one of them made a complaint?

The thing for me is take it at face value and it warrants a muttered "dhead" at the Micra driving.

But the OP has control over the situation, he decides at what speed he approaches the rear of that car, if it had been a real emergency stop from the Micra for whatever reason, could the OP have stopped?

I'm also pretty sure the OP accelerated when the car pulls out.

You just need to relax, think and know that driving is about just getting there with a little stress as possible. You had 100 yrds notice of them pulling out, but hey. Just give a little. Think driving Karma.

I don't see what the fuss is about..... ALL Micra drivers do this.

In fact a high portion of people who have a car of similar ilk usually have no interest in cars/driving and ultimately don't pay much attention which inevitably leads to sequences like those posted by the OP smile
I have a Micra. (well the Mrs does)
And how would you rate her driving? Ever had any incidents/ near misses whilst being a passenger? If so then there you go wink

Either way I'll stick by my statement then most people in cars of similar ilk to a Micra, etc have on interest in driving hence these situations occur...

I'd have done the same and then got right up his trumpet slightly to the right so all he could see in his side mirror was my lights blazing at him and as I said earlier I'd have been on the horn for at least 10 seconds.
