Surely that's just an aeroplane with a Porsche engine? They made an aero engine based on the air cooled flat six.

Here is a pic to add even more transaxle love. Best drive ever at the ring ever, such an intense and involving car...

I'm such a sucker for a NACA duct.

Lovely car though. I drove a track prepared 924 on a track before and it did make me laugh.

Think the bearded Porsche lover Magnus Walker, has just bought a 924 Carrera GT. Sorry if it's already been mentioned, can't be bothered to read the whole thread.

Here's mine...

1988 Silver Rose.

I've been lucky enough to drive other sports/super cars from the same year, and the balance and competence of the 944 is rather special indeed.

Very smart

I remember the Mitchell brothers in Eastenders having a similar car

Hoping to tidy my 89 944 S2 up over the next year, bought as I always liked them, and wanted something cool after selling years worth of collected classic mini bits, surprisingly capable and fun car, despite sharing my garage with an Elise S1.

I have a Slate Grey met MY85 car in the garage. Shortly, I hope, to emerge in Slate Grey...

As a much younger man I was asked by a garage owner friend of mine to put a front number plate on a 944 Turbo. Never been as nervous drilling two holes. Perhaps one of the few Porsche number plates mounted with screws located by a micrometer!

He was a bodger! All 944s used a mounting bracket, so you didn't need to drill the bumper/PU.
