Many toys means I ought to make some decisions :

finish Scimitar resto-mod, decide if it I'm keeping it;
decide if I can justify keeping an older, little-used Elise or do some rebuilding;
swap out white-goods 1.25 Fiesta for something more fun for the wife;
decide if our MX-5 2.0i Sport might actually be our ideal, useable summer fun car;
maybe a more manly coupe or estate for my own daily;
decide if I'm going to continue motorcycling.

I did the fewest miles in the Fiat in the 3 years I've owned it.
10K,12K and 8K in 2015 so need to drive it more in '16.

I have a lot of trips to Europe pencilled in but not sure I have enough time off to do some of them...confused

Toying with the idea of going back to a barge. Most of my trips are now on the motorway, rather than country lanes. I miss silence.

1) Replace MR2 Turbo's clutch master cylinder myself
2) Sell MR2 Turbo
3) Buy Focus ST (225) so I can enter some cycling events
4) Service Mk3 MR2 myself having lost faith with local garages after their collective inability to sort item 1)
5) A few events with Pazlar when he buys an S2000...JapFest again maybe, TunerFest North or something at Oulton Park and always fancied a Silverstone Classic if the Super Tourers are there.
6) Perennial desire to do some track days probably scuppered by recent house purchase...

To do:

S1 106 Rallye - Fit a radiator fan, droplinks and a few other little bits to get it mechanically right, MOT & sell. Needs some bodywork attention that I haven't got the time to do.

205 GTI - Carry on the engine conversion in the 205 GTI. Few little bits and the wiring loom to be sorted for 2.0 16v power from the XU10J4RS lump. Then once up and running its time to start on the suspension and get it on the road

Clio RS200 - Look at replacing the current K-Tec exhaust for a Akrapovic Evo system, new tyres will be required soon, possibly AD08's, and maybe a set of track wheels shod in road legal slicks. Been looking at suspension upgrades but I have the newer style top mounts so seems to limit my choices, tempted with the Bilstein B14 set up or may just go for H&R springs as I currently have the Cup suspension setup.

To go to:

Autosport Show - Nice way to kick off the year

Nurburgring - It always gets mentioned in passing every year, now one of my friends went last year which I couldn't get to, so this year, I'm definitley tagging along, got to tick it off the list.

BTCC - Donington Park & probably Rockingham

French Car Show at Castle Coombe

Track Days - Trying to get to at least 3/4 using my Clio 200, may tag along with the brother to some in his 172 track car. Keeping options open to tracks, Blyton, Oulton, Donington & Cadwell seem like the most likely tracks.

Sunday Service - I've never actually attended one ever. Years of lurking on here. Only posting every now and again, so suppose I best make the effort, some of the pics look brilliant but just need to check the work rota and pull my finger out!

Continue agonisingly slow wait for my M2 to come.

With my wife, do the Evo NC500 triangle in it.

I shouldn't be this excited as a grown man for a car, I don't think it's healthy...
The North Coast 500 is in Scotland.
The EVO triangle is in Wales.
Long trip.

I will be doing the NC500 in May, I live in Surrey!

More updates to the GT4, ordered a new dashcam and head unit this week, boost controller later in the year.

Continue Disco 3 off road build.
I've got a safari snorkel and a lot of under body protection to fit to it.
Replace worn injectors, replace auto box.

Get it ready for a winter trip to Norway to see Northern lights.

Buy the 1953 80" series 1 I've been offered and restore it.
It's been imported from Australia along with 5 others and is largely rust free bar 2 batches on the bulkhead.
Very original with original engine, gearbox, axels, bodywork and dials. Will make a superb project for me to tinker with. smile

(Be interested to see if I get this as badly wrong as 2015s plans biggrin)

Not too much this year hopefully:

Mini - annual oil change in March, plus get all the new 'GP' decals fitted
RS4 - cambelt service in May

Another addition? Haven't decided yet, but kind of missing something late-80s / early-90s in the garage

Trips: Le Mans Classic in July, probably in the Mini with a few other ones. Would quite like to get the Audi over for a run down to the 'Ring too, although that might have to wait until the following year

For 2016;

Now I am more retired than I was in 2015....

March: Drive to the Geneva Motor Show again in the XK. Top up my wine stock-holdings on the way back through Burgundy.

Late August/September: To Spa in the (just acquired last week) S205 C-Class estate for the FI race, then on through Germany & take in the Porsche & Mercedes museums, plus a look around the former Solitude race circuit. South then to Lake Constance & make a stopover near Friedrichshafen. Visit the Zeppelin and other aviation museums there. Onward South over an Alpine pass I've not driven before to Italy & thence to Monza for the F1 race weekend of Sept 2nd- 4th.

Then - key decision required.....stay on in Italy, collect USA friend from Milan or Rome airport and head south all the way [I've always wanted to drive round & explore the former Targa Florio road-race circuit]. Once back from Sicily put Jane back on a plane in Milan, Frankfurt or Paris, depending on our return route, & head for home.

However, if I do part 2 of this I shall miss the Goodwood Revival for the first time since it began. Hmmm.....

Get to a few more PH Sunday Services.
