Nearly.

Ford Cortina 1.3 with very loud tappets and a fondness for overheating.

Gold velour seats out of a Cortina Ghia though which gave it a bit of class.

Ford Capri 1600 LS with slight clutch slip and whine in the axl took about 10 seconds or longer with mates in the car.
Hell of fun in the wet and topped out at 110 going down hill with tail wind... didn't last long before going to the scrap yard though..

Eventually. Clapped out Mini (original) bought for £50. Actually it wasn't too bad after I replaced a couple of the valves on one cylinder.

13.7 seconds - mazda 323f 1.3 lxi................one of the only cars i've driven up slight gradients that lost speed

I had a 323F as a cheapy stop-gap a couple of years ago, but mine was the 1.5i - although I had the same problem!

Mind you my first car was a MK2 Cortina 1500 (so pre Cross-Flow) that took about 18 seconds - the Mazda was a rocket ship compared to that! laugh

Austin 1100... 20.6 seconds
Toyota Corolla 1.3GL.. 11.2 seconds
Rover 220 Coupe... 8.2 seconds
Rover 620ti... 7 seconds
TVR S3... 6.7 seconds
Sapphire Cosworth... 5.8 seconds
S550 Mustang GT... 4.3 seconds

Going in the right direction... always something in the bridgdav fleet which beat the last..
Of course there are also some slower which supported the weekend cars.

Morris Ital. 1.3HL, in British Racing Brown. 0-60 in 15.8 seconds when it was new, driven by a test driver, and didn't have remoulds on the back. Nothing with so little power had any excuse to let go at the rear so easily. Fun when you wanted it to. Not so much when you luckily ended up in a layby on the other side of the road with your passenger's fingernails embedded in the dash.

9ish seconds.

1995 BMW 318iS. Manual.
Still the slowest car I have owned (well, I had a 1994 318i at the time as well but I drove it about 4 times in total as I fixed it and gave it to my sister)
