Not a fan of the chopped carbon finish.

Looks like the inside of a Portaloo, black plastic that's had a sprinkle of dirty water allowed to dry on it.

You forgot to add in your opinion.

Theatricals are all very well at the right time.

L hints at possible style/bling over substance.

I can understand people getting embarrassed in the L. I mean, that rear wing....is it from the Halfords reduced this week shelf and does it actually serve a purpose.
Not heeding my advice then?

Dynamically and performance wise the 720S is next generation and amazing BUT its not a pretty car, lacks soul and passion and is not exciting to drive unless you are doing warp speed. I'm sure the 750 LT will be a move in the right direction addressing these shortcomings and a bit more involving

All the supercars these days are far too fast for the British public roads and where the Performante scores is all the theatre and drama you have even at 30 mph because of the naturally aspirated V10 that has an awesome sound track unlike any turbo charged car.

The Lamborghini Huracan Performante is FUN and exciting - what a supercar is all about unless you are Lewis Hamilton on a track where I seem to remember it didn't fair to bad either 6:52 !
I disagree about the 720S. I’ve spent a fair bit of time in one on road and track (Portimao, Silverstone and Vallelunga) and i’ve driven the Performante coupe and whilst I agree they are very different, the 720S is hugely involving and felt faster than the Lambo (but I admit I have compared them back to back on the same track).
The Lambo was instantly exciting and the engine note is gorgeous but the 720S just gets better and better the more time you spend behind the wheel and the harder you push it.
With a bit more confidence the car just comes alive.
If you find the 720S soulless I would suggest you
need to spend more time in one and perhaps go a little faster...;)

It simply doesn't sound good enough to get my hard earned.

Sound is a huge factor in my automotive purchases.

I've put Larini Clubsport exhausts on all my Lamborghinis, but I wouldn't need to do so with the Performante.

At this level they all handle fantastically and are stupidly quick, so looks, theatre, drama and sound are the deal breakers for me.

I concur, the 911 wing is much more subtle.

Purposeful rather than subtle.

But rather than discussing the attributes of both cars with armchair 'experts' such as yourself lol, after the confirmed thrashing of the Performante by the RS at the ultimate track, the Ring, shall we let the market decide which is the more capable and valued car I.e. RS over double the £ of the L:

Can't argue with that.

I rest my case. rofl

The Performante isn't made in limited numbers.

Wow, make a light hearted joke and really offend someone laugh

Just because people will pay over the odds for something doesn’t make it the best thing since sliced bread.

I’m a huge Porsche fan but I’m afraid the GT2 just leaves be cold compared to the Performante.

The GT2 may be faster, but it has more power and less weight and Porsche have been setting these times and developing cars for donkeys years. Lamborghini have done a bloody good job considering the majority of their customers don’t care about performance and ring times. They went out there with nothing to prove and did very well.

I hope you enjoy the RS, sure know I would if I could ever afford one!

Crazy how ANY Mclaren with full curb weight will weigh less than the dry weight of this porky “hardcore” Huracan

RamboLambo, Audermars and av185 on the same thread. This has serious potential.

Not really. It's got a far bigger engine and it's 4 wheel drive.

What's crazy is that it's faster than ANY McLaren around the ring.

Even if ring times mean little to you, that is an impressive feat.

It’s like a gathering of the Gods. What price Yipper returning from the grave for such a marvellous one off event ? smile

Indeed but it’s still a Lambo and for some that’s all that matters, which for others equally is all that matters wink

I will admit though the Performante is the first of the Audi gen Lambos that tempts me.

A track car that has to be converted for road use for an additional million quid on top of it's multi million original price tag compared to £250k out of the box road car.

I don't consider them comparable.

Not only that, we finally seem to have found the only person who actually gives a flying toss about ring lap times.

The GT2 averaged 1.4mph more than the Performante on its Nürburgring lap. Scary darey.

It's all bullsh*t anyway. Unless you - yes, you - can go out and echo that lap time then comparing lap times is utterly meaningless. With that in mind, I confidently predict that exactly the same amount of Performante and GT2 drivers will be able to repeat the lap time: zero.

Zero is fewer than the number who will drive inappropriately through town centres, park badly outside shops, get all competitive on the road and ultimately crash through peoples' garden walls and houses.

Nor is the GT2 RS.

It's just restricted availability.

Subtle difference I kid you not.

Out of interest how many Performantes are expected for the UK?
