Yet more daft clichés on PH. So the cliche is baseball cap AND shaved head? I can only assume that you see the drivers take their cap off whilst you're looking at them to determine both of those attributes?

I also find it sad someone would actually not buy a car, even if it's a very good car and better than the competitors, purely because of how they think others will view them. The only people who will judge you for your car are not worth worrying about.... They're the sort of people who believe and spread all stupid clichés rolleyes

I agree with the Vauxhall comments. The Merc is better proportioned but the back end could be better.

Would love to drive one!

It looks slightly tall and narrow.

It does in those pictures but when I've seen the C63 coupe on the road they do look quite low and wide, I think it is the picture rather than the car.

I saw a C220d Coupe today out on the road and I thought it looked great and really eye catching. I bet the C63 looks much more purposeful and I must say I do like the way they look, plus every review I read about the twin turbo 4 litre V8 is very positive.

Yeah, the C63 is quite a bit wider as well which helps the looks, the engine is a cracking unit no denying that.

Definitely pictures don’t do this shape justice, as is very often the case with a lot of cars.

These have serious gravitas when you see them on the road. To me anyway! biggrin

ETA: it also looks nothing like an insignia unless your criteria for recognising cars is the number of wheels biggrin

As a 6.2 owner, this newer shape didn't appeal to me at first, but seeing them in the flesh has really made them grow on me. The estates look very nice too.

Edit: what Berkshire Hunt is responsible for the updated mobile format? What a tt.

hehe

The new format takes almost half of the screen away on my phone...I can hardly see what I'm reading! Glad I'm not the only one frustrated by it. smile

Love the concept of these, but my wife said no as she can’t be assed with sticking rhinestones on her pussy every time she drives.
Que?
It must be a request from the client or something.

Am I the only person that thinks this series of C Class are, well, ugly? They don't have a pretty angle at all from any side and IMO they look like something Peugeot or Vauxhall could have come up with ten years ago.
Agree. In fact, to me, the whole current Mercedes design language looks like it was originally OK but left too long in the rain so that the front and rear ends began to melt.

The 2007 C-Class looked sharp.
100% agree. The C63 used to be such a fine looking car. This new one is a hideous blobby mess in the looks department.

Same is true for the original SLS and it’s replacements.

When I saw pics of this, as well as the AMG GT, I wasn't sure. But in the metal they both look great, the AMG GT is really lovely!

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this! Not only does it look naff, I also think it looks incredibly boring!!

I know what you mean, the a45 amg is also much better looking in real life than photos.

I think matte paint can work on some hard-edged designs such a Nissan GT-R but taught, curvey, muscley cars such as this really look sensational when super glossy. Personally I wouldn’t ever choose the former, but to each his own. It’s good that there’s a choice biggrin
