Coming to a 318d near you soon....
Maybe so. Is that a problem for you?
Whats with the aggression? rolleyes

Merely an observation - most of these Look At Me! stick on bits usually end up on entry level cars.
I apologise if I sounded aggressive, it wasn't intended as such. I was just querying why you appear to be expressing your opinion (not an observation, because this cannot be done yet prior to the car actually being released) as this being a bad thing. If people don't buy the more powerful engines because they don't suit their means (be it financial reasons or whatever) but they prefer the looks of these kits, then I can't see why they can't have their model looking more suitable to their own personal preferences.

It was just the way you sad it if it was a problem, and yet it wouldn't be a problem if it was "coming to a 340i near you"
More accurately, it should read "Coming soon to UK market 3 Series"....In most of the rest of Europe, people actively avoid M Sport packs and M Performance packs....it's a curiously British obsession.

really dont think these embellishments have helped much. I like the wheels....but erm.....yeah.

The new 3 series is gonna 'challenge' me for a while, i think.

Saying that, i didnt like the latest 5 series at all when it came out, but i do now.

Not sure why the article says the M340i hasn’t been officially announced it’s mentioned on the BMW website..... out in July.

Wheels look great stickers look naff. Think the car overall looks good and I’m sure it will drive well given its 55kg lighter than the F80.

M340i XDrive Touring for me in San Marino Blue with these M performance alloys. Yum.

I'm personally - thats an opinion - not a fan of Look At Me add ons added to entry level cars. If you're going to attract attention to your car, at least have the grunt to back it up (particularly given i'd say to fully kit out a car like this could cost £5,000-£10,000).

It's no different to how people back in the 80s and 90s loaded stickers and spoilers onto Novas and Citroen AX's . If people want to make their cars look daft, that's their problem. The reality in many cases is that they spend a load of money and end up making their car worth less than an unmodified example......but each to their own...

Probably picked the worst colour to show off the new M bits, white and black wheels FFS.

My hope is more that the 330i manual with M-diff will handle properly, which gives me hope of finding a family friendly rwd drivers car that stays close if not on the right side of 1500kg kerb weight. I'll search out a set of BMW OEM 18" forged rims to go with that and pass on these 20" to the people who want the looks...

True. Though stickers and spoilers on Novas cost a few £ and usually done by 18 year olds. These bits will cost £,£££s for some of them. Not helped (for me) because a lot of that M Performance stuff looks a bit tacky.

I quite like the steering wheel and the wheels - on the right car.

I don't understand the tat that companies throw at their base models. If someone did this to their basic 3 series they would be called a "chav" and other such words. However when a manufacture does it they are praised?

Standard these days. Anything the same colour with four wheels and lights in each corner apparently looks identical.

This car now even looks like Elvis laugh
Yeah they were going in the same direction as well...

People are entitled to their opinions but I agree with your sentiment in general. Sport-moaning is all the rage these days.

I did. Autocorrect didn't. Turd polishing is still turd polishing.
