Japanese makes are winning.
I've had the Toyota for 6 years.

I have had:
1 vw
1 vauxhall
1 Jaguar
1 SEAT
2 Suzuki (company cars)
1 Skoda (company car)

Seat was the best (Leon Cupra 290), jag was cool (£500 p reg xj). Rest are white goods. No really brand loyalty, dad had a lot of BMWs which were always nice.

I've only ever owned three cars (over nearly 20 years!)

All of them have been a Skoda. The first because it was cheap, and the second 2 have been Octavias. Next time it will probably be something different, most likely Korean or Japanese - my current Octavia is not as good as the first one, and after 16 years of effectively the same car I'm getting a little bored with it.

On the opposite to this, how about irrational brand avoidance. My father owned an automatic Ford Escort in the 1970s in which the throttle got stuck fully open and he nearly had a huge accident. He's refused to even look either Ford's or a car with an auto gearbox ever since! He does get a bit defensive though when I point out that his current Volvo V40 has a fair amount of Ford in it...

Brand loyalty with Volvo at 25%, conscious decision. Love a Volvo.
Currently in a Nissan but craving the solid, dependable feeling of a Volvo.

Bike loyalty was with Yam, loved them... until I got the BM and that changed everything hehe

60% Skoda...

Lots of brand loyalty in our family. My grandad had 6 Hillman Hunters, then 6 Nissan Bluebirds and was onto his 7th Rover when he died. Grandma has had 5 Vauxhalls since 1998 and before that about half a dozen Rovers from 1983.

My dad had about 9 Vauxhalls, then 4 SEATs, is now on his second Evoque and is looking for a third. My mam had 10 Fiats off the belt and only stopped buying them and moved onto the Germans when they forgot to replace the Punto (she hates the 500). My uncle has only owned Vauxhalls in his whole driving life since the early 80s and my MIL has driven Suzukis since 1999.

VW's could hardly be more opposite. First car was a mk1 polo. Current is a Touareg.

Very little loyalty though, I'll go to whichever brand sells what I want at a reasonable price.

Didn't realise I'd had as many as that, seems about right though. Always rated Ford highly, always been a Subaru fanboy, and been a BMW fanboy for a while.

6 Ford (1.6 Flight, ST170, ST170, Mondeo, Ka, 2.0 Zetec)
3 Subaru (V4 2000 Turbo Wagon, V6 2000 Turbo Wagon, Bugeye saloon)
2 BMW (735i, 330d)
2 Seat (Leon Cupra R 225, Alhambra 2.0 TDi SX)
1 Volvo (S80 2.4 S)
1 Honda (EP3 Civic Type R)
1 Peugeot (205 1.6 GTI)
