Not a problem.
Isn't a valid MOT used in assessing the payout value if it is a write off?

I agree. And insurance depends on the company. LV don’t insure cars with no MOT for example.

Yeah, big wide tyres, maybe a little low on tread, mid engined. Be easy to lose that.
So a mid engined car is easier to 'lose' than a front or rear engined car.

You don't have a garage listed, as a side note try being civil, just read the rest of the thread & you concede you may have been overly harsh so fair enough.

My dad had an at-fault accident writing off his car and another. The MOT was about a month overdue and it wasn’t taken into consideration at payout.

Yep. Well certainly harder to catch once they go.

True.

Crashed two, but managed to survive a recent rear engined half spin smile

And this is why even after all these years i still read pistonheads daily.

Its the only place i know of where someone posts pictures of a crashed car and within a handful of posts you've got people doing pictures of mugs, t-shirts and whatever else there is that I'm sure will come by the next time i look on here hehe

I take exception to being called a schoolboy by someone like that.

My comment probably was cringey but I'm not here to make friends or pander to people, so I will take the subsequent comments on the chin.

Fair play for pulling me up for it.
Next time I'm looking at a used car I won't check it's MOT history on line that helps as an indication of the mileage history, whether it's been looked after by previous owners judging by the reasons for any failures or if I want to know more about a particular car for whatever reason. For me it has a use for when I want to look at it. If you find it weird then so be it but there's no reason to make stupid childish comments so wind your neck in.
