Still looks stunning.
Just like the day/year it was released. An orange one used to live close by, back in the day.

Dynamically the best TVR, wearing the most hideous suit. Shame. If only it looked more like the T350...

Oh, and speaking of the latest TVR, any news?! It would be a shame if they failed to come off the line.

I have to own a TVR at some point, the Sagaris and the Tuscan started my real love for them. I remember seeing a Sagaris on the road shortly after the Top Gear episode and I lost my mind!

I'd take mine with an LS9 swapped in to sort the engine out, should also return the power vs handling balance back to its rightful place on the very far side of dangerous cloud9

I read the Brave Pill thread on the £70K McLaren, then read this one!

If I had £70K I'd much rather have a Sagaris - it's got some character. laugh
That’s a good point actually, I think I’d prefer the 12C but at least I have a TVR specialist within half an hour of me!

I have never owned a TVR, nor wanted to , but I've loved them since seeing Tony Bancroft's (aka Spotty Smith ) quad Webered Tuscan V8 hillclimbing in the 70s. The most recent Griffiths now look surprisingly understated but the Sagaris still looks sensational - as does the now near forgotten Tamora
You know this is a car site right?

Great looking car. Was a couple of years after I stopped working for a TVR dealer so I only had experience of the early S6 engines.

Great, when they worked.

Kerridges is just down the road so I might pop down to have a look.

I am (very) lucky enough to own number 92 on the Pistonheads Sagaris register - being a serial TVR fan since a little boy.

Nothing I have ever owned has generated as much interest at petrol stations etc whenever I drive it. Constant questions, selfie photos etc.

As much as its fabulous to drive, and it is. Pure analog, pure your in command, pure you mess up and its your fault, no computers to save you...totally involving and utter enjoyment. Its quickish still to this day - but exhausting to drive hard, the ease at which modern cars can be driven quickly means a B road blat against a well driven Fiesta ST will only result in one winner.

But...nothing beats seeing a small boys jaw drop and him mouth 'T....V....R' wide eyed as you pass by

Always loved these and I would if I could (even though I've vowed to never buy a black car again..
TVR subject aside, black IMHO is the very worst colour for a car, probably excepting a car that's covered, garaged and never sees a wet road. An absolute nightmare for showing every little mark and swirl..
It’s ok if you see tlc as part of the whole experience. It’s an enthusiasts car, not an Audi...
I agree with you, just saying a black cars perfect paint can be spoilt very easily just by having an inconsiderate wiping their hands over it, it's a very difficult colour to keep in perfect looking fettle.

As above, I loved my 159Ti but I didn't even need to drive it, come pollen season it had a certain... dusty look... within thirty minutes of washing/detailing. More so around my way, even when dry I'd just have to drive past a field of rape seed (plenty of those) to get a yellow tint to the car.

Hmmm scratchchin

Tlc and complete and utter pain in the 4rse are 2 different things in my book.

Never had a black car after my EP3 CTR and 400se wedge which I owned at the same time 15 years ago.

I worked at a dealership in Cheshire that sold these, they were so exciting to look at and drive but hindered by quality issues.
Miss those days. I recall they blanked the wheel arch vents off these because they whistled like a kettle otherwise!

Reminds me when some of us went to Dunsfold airport for a Clarkson Christmas DVD shoot (2005 Hot Metal iirc). They wanted a timeline of TVR Wedges to do a lap.

This was back in the days when the TVR Club was totally against "single model meets" - us Wedgers broke that mould and went it alone with the Big Bad Wedge Fest closely followed by the Griff Growl......the Chimps jumped on the bandwagon too wink.

So they had to allow a few token 'other models' there hehe

Anyway we did the couple of laps with my 350 in the rear (left the 420 SEAC at home) which was fun.

Clarkson then put Nhyde's SEAC next to the Sagaris for a "sound off" .........no contest!

The quote was "now this (SEAC) is like two fat ladies mud wrestling at the bottom of a well" hehe

Whats the weight of an LS9? There's some very good builders of S6 engines now producing increased capacity, power, great reliability. As theres so few of these there has to be value keeping them standard - ish.

I never drove any TVR in anger myself but had the chance to sit next to capable drivers. And I quite understand why one needs to be capable!

Last 2 years I drove new 911/ Boxster/Caymans/AMG cars and sometimes with quite some gusto and a passenger. More than once they got scared. Imagine what would happen if they drove a TVR. Not for every driver and especially the Speed 6 / AJP8 models ask for skill and experience.

I totally agree with you. I barely drive my Sag now because it's such a palaver and pain in the arse to drive, and you so have to be in the right mood and on the right road. Most of the time l just drive my Golf R as its performance is totally adequate and it is far better suited to the poor state that many roads are in and the congestion we have.

To be honest, I ought to sell the Sag. But that would be a huge decision.

Spookily matching the original post picture.

Here's mine; had it 4 years now and honestly don't know what I'd change it to.

I personally quite like the styling, but would rather have a Noble M12
