Problem is that they utterly DOMINATE the hallway room! So they look awful!

Can sort of the see the appeal of a engine from an F1 car in a display case. Remember seeing the Mercedes F1 engine V10 in a display case at Mercedes World many moons ago.

I prefer the "art" of motorbikes (or even pedal cycles) personally.

Not sure I could sit there so comformtably! laugh (why is he sat like that too?! Sits like a woman! )

There's something for the simplicity of a single speed bike

A friend used to store her pedal bike in her hall on a bracket on the wall. All it meant was you had to dodge it when you walked in! Was pointless! laugh Not like she didn't have a spare room she could have chucked it in!

Sort of works instead.

But I'd be looking at a full fat, full aero, Ducati MotoGP bike if I "HAD" to have a motorised display item in a house. But it wouldn't be wall mounted!

biggrin

Ripple bonnet 2cv for me. Shelved out like the excellent xj6/12 picture earlier.

S1KRR - a chap after my own heart.

I'd quite gladly (funds permitting) commission a custom bicycle from Ricky Feather or Demon Frameworks with the primary purpose of it sitting on a wall looking pretty.

Motorbike wise, it'd have to be a R7 for me...

Couple of year ago there was half a 355 for sale - was very tempted to buy it to put it on my living room wall

This is a really dificult question

Most of the cars I immediatley thought of, were because of what they can do more than how they look, so reducing it purely to looks is hard.

Maybe an XK120

Agreed - stunning car, yet if you looked at it as a plan view it'd look pretty mundane.

Anyone remember a Grand Designs episode when he went in and the owner had installed a Ducati 998 on the wall? Kevin nearly had a fit.

But if you're asking, a Bugatti Type 35.

F1 car-7up Jordan I think
Excellent choice! After saying I would pick Schumacher's 1994 Benneton B194 I actually though or would I pick the 191 Jordan.
