986kg wet does sound impossible to me !!

with a target only 72kg more than a Modern Elise ? but with 13kg worth of seats ! That's much more than Lotus seats !!
As will the brakes, wheels, tyres all bigger ! and the Car is Cayman Size also.

HOW 986KG wet ?

I did like the way he shunned PDK style Box's, read it and weep Auto owners lol

will watch with interest as that weight is amazing.

think I would like less revs and more torques myself mind, 345lb/ft at 9k ! with a 12,100 red line !

£2.8 million , wow

Even at £3 million this is a bargain. No investment is certain but this must be as close to a guaranteed investment you can get. Will be worth £20 million in 20 years.

Not sure about the fan at the back but will reserve judgement until road tests confirm whether it works as planned.

One of the few new cars that really excites me (despite the fact that I will likely never even see one in the flesh).

What’s the deal with the gearstick/gate? It looks like there’s only forward/backwards movement but it’s not a sequential manual is it?

I thought the same thing, hope somebody can answer it.

I never thought the F1 was a great looking car, all about the driving experience (which I’ll never have sadly)
It is sequential - have a look at the Harry's Garage piece on it.

I must have misunderstood what Gordon Murray said.

Just watched the Harry's Garage video. Lovely stuff. It's great to hear Murray's take on 22" wheels, fancy LED shaped lights/DRLs and dual clutch gearboxes (they're all rubbish hehe )

Dropped into Morrison’s on my walk back from work where I spent £3.98 on two pies reduced to 20p, a litre of milk, a fancy loaf of seeded bread, a tub of yoghurt and two custard tarts down to 8 pence from the usual pound. Much though I love motorcycles and cars, indeed I actually work for a BMW Motorrad dealership, you may as well be showing me a virtual video tour of Buckingham Palace and asking me what I think.

Would like to see it with a wing or two winglets either side of that ugly jet.. But looks awesome from the front!

All very admirable but I just can’t get excited about this (or any hypercar). I’m more thrilled by the prospect of the Yaris GR...and I mean that!

I appreciate there's a lot of fantastic engineering that's gone into this and I wish them luck, but it doesn't really have looks to match the price. The gear lever 'pod' looks like a dreadful bolt on too. I also don't get his point about fixed rear wings needing stiffer springs, increasing drag at speed, etc, as adjustable aero has been around for years. Surely a simple DRS device is all that's needed. I know they can often look ugly, but that fan really spoils the lines to me.

I want one, partly because its mentally brilliant but mostly because of the Harrys Garage video. I love how Gordon Murray has put so much into it, analysed every detail to be the best it could possibly be and made it to give 100 driver pleasure. I think it looks a bit crap from the back, but it really doesn't matter when you listen to him explain precisely why it is the way it is. What a thing.

Had hoped the front end would look as per an earlier render.
