£60k for something that isn't an Audi? I wondered if the price point was well above Ford's branding for what, in the UK, is a local shopping car for the more affluent. Setting aside the sensitivities of squandering the Mustang name on an elephant, permanently in the room, I just hate the way this thing looks.
Because Peugeot pinched the three bar lights, some mayl think this is a big Peugeot.
I'm all for EVs but I'm still waiting for a new modern/futuristic design language or shape so they stop looking like boring ICE cars.
Have manufacturers completely run out of ideas?

It's that enormous screen glued on the dash that seems to mean the product is aimed at minicab drivers, day traders and s thought. The "name" of a car isn't what would make me buy one (or not). So I don't really care about the thrust of this PH article.
What does matter to me though, is whether or not the car is any good, particularly in relation to what else is out there.
And I have to say, I'm not really impressed with this. Tesla is, for me anyway, where I'd be looking.

Freed of the massive lumps of iron that have to be accommodated into any ICE designs, designers will eventually be able to play around with shapes I hope.
I think there is already thoughts about making batteries part of the structure of vehicles so that they do a useful job rather than just hanging around being heavy.
That kind of thing.
I actually think they've done a great job with this. Used the Mustang name to make it appear more premium, crossover type car which is the most in demand type at the moment, sharp looks, great spec, and the extended range rwd model really hits the spot with 379 miles of range. For someone who doesn't like the Tesla interior layout of a wooden kitchen table and a glued-on iPad, this seems like a fantastic alternative.
This is an unbelievable step up from the shocking Focus E from a few years ago. Well done Ford.

How many of you who think it's a travesty to sully the glorious Mustang name by sticking it on a weird looking EV have actually driven a regular Mustang? For the most part they've been super cheap look-a-likes of decent Mustangs that you can rent at any US airport for $19 a day. Ford have been using the Mustang name to sell complete shyte for decades; if anything this thing is a vast improvement!
