Just dont do it, what's the point whilst we've still got combustion. I know 3 people with Taycans, 2 have problems with the brakes and my brother in laws stopped dead last week in the middle of the road and an hgv nearly killed him and my nephew.

Not a tough nut to crack, it’s just time. Look at the drop in pricing of EVs, battery density is increasing 3x every 10 years as shown in the real world by the difference between the two generations of Leafs. As every manufacturers gets going and R&D, supply chains and manufacturing grow the ICE white good end of the market will be in the rear view mirror very quickly.TBH - having great electric cars at the top of the market seeing realistic to me as they can bear the expense of the batteries

A lovely car, but still not good enough. Look at the size and weight of the thing! Who wants to be lugging round half a ton extra over the Tesla Model 3, which has similar performance, more range and dimensions suited to to UK roads. Not to mention a better charging infrastructure.
Whilst I could justify a Taycan or one of these, and though I'm far from a Tesla fanboi (much lower build quality) as a device for getting from A to B and also for enjoyment I'd still pick the Model 3. I continue to marvel at the Model 3's packaging, and an incidental benefit is that the Tesla's depreciation will be a fraction of the others - depreciation being the main ownership cost of any electric car.

0.24 is an astonishing drag coefficient for something with such a large frontal area and massive tyres.
It looks good. It's interesting that they've blended the Audi Massive Grille in to such an extent that it has pretty much disappeared. BMW look to be a few years behind the curve in this regard.

I would like to go EV for my next "main" car. But however good this car looks and performs the range isn't good enough for me to visit my son (290 miles return) once a month with a 280 mile range and the current charging network.
No matter how good the cars are, the infrastructure, maybe apart from Tesla, is pants. I recently watched a review of another Audi EV in which he did a couple of 250 mile trips, the first trip went OK but the second was a disaster when his planned charging stop was occupied which would have meant another hour to his scheduled 50 minute stop. He ended up scratching around for another charger.....
One charger at a Shell garage....8 fuel pumps, says it all really.

Will the battery be past it’s best?
Will the range be creeping down each month?
I don’t know the answers to these questions but I’m not sure anybody else does either.
Is this a £130k car that needs a new battery pack after 8 years?
Perhaps the battery pack can be easily and cheaply replaced? I don’t know.
Again, I don’t know and I’m not interested enough to go searching for answers...yet.
Perhaps after a few years and they hit the £50k mark I might be more curious.
Before I’m flamed I should add that I’m not anti EV but these are genuine concerns that I have.
Otherwise, all I see is a reclothed Taycan that weighs 2.3 tonnes and cost £110-130k.
Pretty car but hardly moving the game on.
Surely focussing on weight removal is best way to achieve extra range and performance- imagine lopping half a ton of this?!
Still can’t believe I’m talking in units of tonnage rather than kilos..... remember when companies talked about removing carpet and thinner sun visors to save grams here and there...... rather like turning up to an earthquake with a dustpan and brush now!
