Daily driver rather than weekend toy is what I meant I guess and I was expecting the latter. My point is that it was heavier, less involving and less remarkable than the the majority of reviews lead me to believe. Perhaps I've just been spoilt over the years.
I took one for an extended test drive a couple of years ago and was totally underwhelmed. Every review was saying it was the best thing since sliced bread but for me it is just the best Alfa I have driven but not a game changer.
It is a shame because I really like the exterior.
I know what you mean, i drove my integrale to test drive a Peugeot 308 GTI, the Pug felt very underwhelming compared to my Lancia, lack of power, , steering felt wooly, and it didn't squeak and rattle like my integrale, anyone who thinks a 308 GTI can stack up against a 1 of 500 water spray model integrale Evo1, really needs to have a word with themselves.

Pretty sure if it turned up in my diesel bmw I'd have left with the same impression. I think some of you guys are more easily impressed. I envy you I guess.
It’s not a QF, it’s a QV - Quadrifoglio Verde.
Not too expensive to run - Alfa has a pre-paid service plan for QVs up to, and incl, 8 years old. IIRC, it works out at c. 250 per service, which includes the biggies – eg, the hilariously labour-intensive aux belt service:

Also, 36-42mpg is possible on long runs because QVs have 2 ECUs: one’s mapped for performance, t’other for eco; the latter runs the V6 lean and shuts down three cylinders when cruising.
The QV is heavy? Compared to what?
Only downside seems to be erratic reliability?
Several PHers claim trouble-free ownership, while these QV long-term vloggers have had theirs trailered at least once. (Although to be fair, the last listed did much modding and drives like an oaf):

Maybe the MY 2020 updates, which incl adding port injection to the DI, have sorted reliability?

Indeed, and they are all great cars but for me the QF even if only 90% of those on the list from an ability perspective would still be on my drive as the extra 10% would be in the last 5% of the performance envelope, and I'm not a typical PH driving god.Its a great car that costs similar to its peers to run, so I agree with you completely.
