Did that Service Plan work out? I just tried it & it did not work on a low miles 66 plate Cup-S.
I found it online. Seems very specific about whats included & no mention of belts.
Still worth it I would say even for a non-belts service/MOT & warranty.
Only other thig to watch if you dont do many miles is Service interval is 2yr or 12k. I only got 2 services in my 4 yr service plan.

Z4M is a car I would like to have.
But there are pro's & cons for most cars for sure.
This post was started with a list of bills mostly maintenance that came at the same time as a reliability problem.
Most people on this forum I am sure could have an equivalent or worse story. Dont get me started on my N53 3.0i BMW engine.

Had mine done under warranty on around 20k (output bearing failure IIRC). Now on 45k. Rather hoping it's a one off! A few other bits have worn out but given the performance it's not bad in my opinion.I'm planning to sell the car next year. Had it since 2017. It's suited my needs very well.
I don't think Renault are great with gearboxes. Had a similar bearing failure on my 172 Cup 13yrs ago.

I ordered a 265, which then changed to a 275 midway through the wait, and the consensus at the time was that the Megane was pretty bulletproof and had gradually evolved through 250/265/275 with any minor niggles sorted out. But it seems they introduced some new ones. I sold my 275 at under 2 years old and only a few thousand miles so nothing had time to break.
Would I have another? Probably not. It was a fantastic drivers car, and one of the best cars I've owned in some ways, but if I needed space and practicality I'd go for an RS Megane 280/300 - still the best looking 5 door hot hatch on sale imo - and if not, roll the dice on a used Cayman, which will probably cost even more to maintain if you're unlucky, but hey, it's a Porsche.
Interesting thing is they carried over the gearbox to the new model. As far as I understand the were no revisions, but I’m not a 100% sure. Would I have another? Probably not. It was a fantastic drivers car, and one of the best cars I've owned in some ways, but if I needed space and practicality I'd go for an RS Megane 280/300 - still the best looking 5 door hot hatch on sale imo - and if not, roll the dice on a used Cayman, which will probably cost even more to maintain if you're unlucky, but hey, it's a Porsche.

I have a 2015 265 on 109k. Had it for a year. It was a motorway car doing 30k a year for the first few years, and it was totally standard. Only mod now is the mid box delete I had done.
I came from a 2009 CW FN2 which was faultless apart from sticking callipers and the fact the back axle was rotten. Roof rust had been fixed (was returning) and the insides of the doors were starting to rust and it was getting scabby beneath.
Meganes have their weak points. I bought mine, full renault history but basically nothing had been changed on it apart from obviously service items, so it had served its previous 2 owners well.
Very shortly after purchase I replaced two engine mounts and done a clutch damper delete.
I am not long after replacing a long list of items -
Two front shocks
Clutch
Flywheel
Crankshaft oil seal
Driveshaft seal
AUX belt kit
AC condenser
Both front droplinks
Coolant change
Front and rear pads
All genuine Renault parts (apart from the droplinks and AC condenser) and done the work myself. Was on its original clutch and flywheel. Still on its original swivels and balljoints.
Worth noting that Renault offer motrio and/or value plus service items alongside the original parts and these can be very competitively priced.

I'm hopeful that the gearbox rebuild is a one-time cost, now that it has uprated bearings fitted. Otherwise it's just a case of being unlucky/pedantic of wanting to change quite a few things at once/ahead of time.
Here's a breakdown of costs over the last two years, to help add a bit more colour:

Your crank seal was leaking early. That and rocker cover leaks are just F4R things. I don't think there is too many dry F4R's about. What coolant pipe was leaking? My electric water pump was leaking, I had to replace it.
