Last hairdresser I used drove a black E36 M3 Cab.

This was back in 1997 so possibly out of date!

In terms of stereotypes, is there a difference between a barber and a hairdresser? Is being gay associated with both or just the latter?
Yeah, barber is a blokey, manly career, cutting mens hair "Something for the weekend sir" etc, straight as a die, but if you do ladies hair then people make assumptions.

My youngest lad is a Fashion designer, he was on a course at Uni and was one of three lads out of twenty odd, and the only straight one, it annoys the living st out of him people assuming he is gay because of his career choice.

Every last one round here has a Range Rover Sport or an Evoque.

My mate owns the retail premises underneath his office and it’s rented out - it’s full of hairdressers and nail bar type girls. And yes: Evoques. All of them.

My hairdresser is female, blonde, married with 2 children and drives a Nissan Cashcow.

Edit: Actually it might be a Hyundai Tucson. All those SUV things look the same to me,

My mum’s hairdresser drives a 911 Turbo S. Had a Conti GT before that. Also has some sort of classic Alfa but my mum can’t remember exactly which.

I drove past a barber shop earlier and the owner (name on number plate and salon) had a Maserati QP parked outside.

PH points for him!
