A lovely looking Alfa.
Decent SH.
MOT history is acceptable.
A long-term owner.
Price is more than fair.
Overall, almost too good to be true.
What's the catch?

Always thought these were rather special looking (in a good way).

Prettiest shed in a long time!

Love the looks , I have a couple of very handy spanner men I can call on , it's just a pity that I only drive autos these days ( knackered knees ,sciatic nerve and worn hip )

"rust in the cups, something Mrs Shed used to get in her bras before she switched to whalebone"
hehe

Prefer it in red leather (the seats that is, not Mrs Shed's bra). And the paint would have to be red too, never owned an Alfa so if I ever do so it would have to be red. Nice looking car though.

True Arthur Daley advertising, confidence inspiring it is not.

Nice shed and a welcome return to form after the disappointment of last weeks offering.

Lovely looking shed. If the car is honest will make a great buy.
Very depressing the top 3 most popular colours are black, white and grey.
One possible factor for that is manufacturers charging you a pretty penny for the fancier colours, whereas black / silver probably come as the free option.

Ooof, Premier League shedding that! To the eyes of the average punter on the street, they wouldn't know that from a car costing 5 if not 10 times as much..... what can you get for under £20k these days - a Kia Picanto or an MG? I'll take ten of these instead, any day of the week, month or millennia!

What a fabulous car for the money and such a good looker too..Best shed in a long while, and worthy contender for shed of the year.

That’s a fine, fine shed. Almost the whole idea distilled into one car.

Great looking shed! I could see it sat proudly on my drive with the grandkids scooters, hoolahoops, and swingball hanging out of the doors and windows. Good find!

Love these, great design. Sedate 0-60 but would have one of the bigger engined one.

Definitely Shed of the Year and looks to be a really nice example. Plus it’s an Alfa which is great.

However, I personally never liked the looks of the GT and would prefer a 156, 159 or GTV.
Seconded. It looks a great example but, to my eyes, Alfa have made much prettier cars including the three you mentioned.

Mind you, I also rather like the Mito paperbag

Looks a belter often fancied.the Alfa GT , quite surprised it's very reasonably priced from a dealer due to mileage and 1 former keeper which for me always helps when buying cars.

Bought the wife's 14 plate DS3 Dsport from Chadderton which was about 30 miles away , well over a year ago not the same dealer .

Ronin (one of the great car chase films) turned up on free to air telly this week for the first time in a while and the Hereford boathouse gets mentioned in the script (as part of the SAS barracks I think).
Then, lo and behold, Shed mentions it in the same week. Coincidence?

I still have the old EVO magazine of the group test with the 3.2 litre version - it was rapid but ultimately not as dynamic as the E46 330ci or the 350Z. I think it finished third, so it was still considered better than the Audi TT 3.2, RX8 231hp, Holden V8, and the Crossfire.

I must admit, when I first saw today's SOTW I thought "Diesel" - I had to get to the picture of the instruments & the subsequent paragraphs to realise it drank from the green pump. It was at that moment I thought "what a shed". Not in a bad way - quite the opposite. I've always liked a GT; like a 147 with a boot more than a 156 coupe (in my opinion). But such a pretty car, and a good driver too. Fabulous.

Had a 2004 V6 GT for several years only sold as needed 4 doors with growing children. Enjoyed it, front seats very comfortable, only thing was hatchback squeaking silicon spray usually solved it at least for a while. Dark blue over grey looked good traded in for £5000 5 years ago.
Looks similar to my old V6 - MV05VLB are you still out there? Lovely car, spoiled by harsh ride, recalcitrant gearchange and terrible turning circle. As others have said, definitely better looking than the Brera.

I owned the diesel version of one of these. Gun metal grey with a red interior. It was an absolutely brilliant car and nothing went wrong in 3 years. Quite nimble handling and surprisingly practical, turned heads whenever it went.

Love the Alfa GT. For a parts bin car full of 156 and 147 bits, it is a really nice package. Had an 08 Lusso in Nero Anthracito with the same JTS 2.0.

Loved the look of the car (although agree the Brera interior is better), practicality, and ability to eat up miles, and really nice on a flowing road. Not a sports car by any measure, and the gearbox was proper old school Italian, needing to be gently encouraged through the gears… It was incredibly rust free and resistant which was a pleasant surprise too.

The engine though was a nightmare - no end of problems, and even on a good day, at 160ish horses (which I think was an ambitious estimate) it was disappointingly underpowered, drank like a sailor, and was pretty poor on emissions. The (also 08) Civic Type R (FN2) I ran at the same time (and still own) offered 40 extra horses, far better economy and bullet-proof reliability out of the same 2.0 litres.

Would love another GT but it’d have to be a Busso V6 one (although that’s not a shed-money proposition). And my wife would leave me. So I guess that’s an issue…

Great shed though - even with the JTS time-bomb.

Looks identical to the one my dad had, kept in Spain at house, it was a diesel and thanks to climate never rusted, although the drivers door hinge did fail one day, the door literally fell off.

Like mentioned the interior plastics would seemingly melt and get sticky, very strange given climate in country of origin.

It was a great mile muncher, reliable, comfortable and averaged about 50mpg

Come to think of it, there is not a single new car you can buy today that looks so good AND is as efficient. SHAME!
