Hmmm this or a Zonda F scratchchin. Oh god I think I wet myself sperm. But no seriously, this has got to be one of the best modern 'supercars'.

I want one!
I have always liked it from when I saw the original black one on top gear.
I doubt it will ever happen, but its going on the wish list! As someone else said I think of it as a TVR of the supercar world, more than a little bonkers evil

Great car that's definitively worth some sleepless nights. I still prefer NA engines and a Carrera GT would do fine for me. Would love to be in the dilemma of making a choice though...

I really wonder what will be their next car . . . Massive sound not to be topped by anything on streetlegal wheels.

As a rule I prefer NA too but the K'egg isn't obviously blown except for the "chased by low flying Jet Ranger" soundtrack overlaying the snarling V8 and its ability to accelerate its rate of acceleration the harder you get in to the throttle pedal. The total sensory overload of the sound, violent acceleration and blurring scenery is what, IMHO, makes it King of the Hypercars.

Close enough??? hehe .. would certainly make the car park scenario easier as well as looking damn cool (releasing my inner chav).

And I always thought doors were supposed to aid access in/out of the vehicle....

If the company's previous press releases are any indication, it would not be surprising if they published in-gear times for one set of ratios and top speed for another.
So long as there was ever a "customer" car that was fitted with each, they seem to consider it legitimate to publish whatever any car may ever have done, leaving readers naturally to infer that they all do "this" or "that".

Both Autocar and EVO have tested Konig's, both got very good in gear figuers.
But, when it came to acc' runs,Oh dear me,their figuers made no sence what so ever!!!
Maybe oneday they will let us know what went on.

Gearing in such cars never really makes a huge difference.

Look at the Ford GT and the Lambo Murcileago (150mph in 3rd for goodness sake)

Neither really gains much from shorter gearing over such long intervals, only loosing out in 1st, but they have the power and low mass (in the K'segg's case) to manage still.

But for comparison, who cares, 50-70 in 5th only really means something for that car anyway, as gearing varies so much.

I imagine it'll be blisteringly quick, and with a centrifugal charger feel very much NA in it's delivery vs the CC8S's positive displacement charger and noticeably charger delivery (from what I read, can't seem to confirm that on the Ksegg site now, all CCR and CCX stuff, but sure it was in the original Evo review from years ago)!

Eeeeeeeexactly! yes A proper old school style supuercar that takes real effort to get the most out of and doesn't have traction control and flippy flappy paddles to dilute the whole drama and event of the car.

Though they were working on a clutch(pedal)less gearstick/box, something like Porsche's early Sportmatic from the 70's. It was being developed by a clever Italian Diff-Meister, though I'm not sure if they plan to implement it in a future model. Pagani were also interested in this feature...

Some nice touches but basically a toady looking object with generic supercar type lines. No spark of style there really that separates a classic design from something that's fairly forgettable.

Can someone dig out the Autocar bench figures for the CCX, ie 0-60,0-100
0-150 and some in gear info. I recollect seeing it a while a go and I'm sure it was disappointing and fell well short of Macca territory.(0-60 3.2, 0-100 6.3)

We called into a petrol station on the N138 north of Le Mans this year for directions (to the "Great British Welcome" which was anything but unfortunately), these guys were happy to help with a map (no sat nav?) and the sound as they left was one of the highlights of the weekend. Awesome when driven in anger.

I saw these guys too... they were on the same ferry over as me... stunning cars...!

I want one please

Um, the Macca takes 3.2 for the same run....and I'd like to see somebody use an F1 day-in-day-out. The F1's time in the sun has passed, let it go man. No seriously, I have never heard Gordon Murray say a good word about any supercar apart from the F1. The fact is, the world has moved on, there are faster, better and meaner looking hypercars now. Let the McLaren rest as what it is, an amazing engineering achievement of IT'S TIME.
