I got one of these ofr me sister on a L plate import, 1.8 version 4 years ago, she's just sold it after, never servicing it, or anything, typical girly girl realy... but the thing would not break.. she only just sold it and still got good money back on it. I would have one of these good cheap clean fun...
Anyone who says an MX-5 is not a great drivers car are usually incredibly vain and like to go around bragging about the latest bagde they have rather than actually knowing anything about driving. They've also usually never driven one.
my current toy (Mk1 Turbo circa 180 BHP) is by far the most fun I've had in a sportscar. Of course there are better more focused cars like the Elise (had 2) and more comfy modern versions of the same thing (Boxster S, Had one, utter crap) but nothing matches the MX-5 for putting a stupid smile on your face every time you get into it. It's a purists car. Just so happens to be so good that ebeyone loves em not just hairy palmed "Drivers".
It's a 100% car, meaning you drive EVERYWHERE at 100%! you can't do that in most cars and get away with it.
