This is great!!!! Thank you very much! just what i'm looking for! Do you want to sell the mag. Thats the car for sure. i must say it's looking very sorry for itself so needs lots of attention.
i must say its great of you to have gone through the trouble of scanning the mag article in, really appreciated.
Hi chap, I'd prefer to keep the original to be honest - I still enjoy leafing through my old mags when I'm in the garage. Glad it was your car anyway

Hi guys,

Saw this thread and got a bit excited smile

My Corrado VR6 Storm was featured in Revs magazine as part of a coupe challenge/shootout against 3 other coupes. If someone could digitize a copy of that feature it would be fantastic. I reckon it was late 1990's early 2000 ish.
Fingers crossed and thanks in advance.

I only bought it once in 98 or so.

I remember the front cover; an E30 convertible in white....huge rear spoiler and Testarossa style side rakes. The chap was an Indian chap called Suraj IIRC.

Anyone know what ever happened to that car?
I know it's been a while since you posted this, but that was the first mag I purchased too. Back then the BMW looked amazing to a teenage kid who was into his modified cars. I also wonder what happened to it as it was the first overly modified car I had seen and thought it was brilliant.

Would love the old mag features from my Storm to put up in the office and remember fun times smile
I washed it with one bucket back then ;-)

That era, in my opinion, was when that mag peaked. They used to rolling road and performance test old cars, had a tame racing driver to evaluate them, tyre tests etc.It was like reading a mag full of EVOs "Grand Challenges". Couple of years later it had gone down the Max Power route so I didn't bother with it

My memory of Revs to, far more insightful and had some good tips/guides sections as well.

No idea what happened to the car but I still have that issue. My old Supercharged Corolla GTi-16 was featured in it.

Does anyone know if old articles exist online? I know the mag got canned a few years ago, but the "trace your old car" thread prompted me to have a bit of a search around for my old MG Metro Turbo.

I took part in a Mk2 photoshoot/feature for aforementioned mag, probably in 97 or thereabouts, hence the thought about Revs.
Thread resurrection.... the above statement regarding Mk2, was this for Golf MK2??? as im trying to find the magazine which i also featured after doing a photoshoot in my Golf Mk2 Rallye, 3 sister race track in wigan????

Hey, Greg99

I am very interested in your magazines! Please let me know if you still have them. The ONLY reason I initially joined this website was to talk to YOU and ask if you are willing to part with them.

Cheers!

I still have the majority of the issues at home, I bought every one from the start up to about 2002 or so and have never thrown any away.

Can you remember which issue your motor was in?
Hey, K50 DEL

Are you interested in unloading your Revs, Fast Car and Max Power magazines? That question goes to all the users of this site as well! I really enjoy reading them! I am trying to track some down as they were extremely uncommon in the USA, even when they were in print.

Cheers!

Any particular issues that you're looking for?
I'll give some thought to parting with all of them - I don't often refer to them anymore but they're a part of my history and I'd not really considered selling them all !

What about scans of them? Is there an easier way to do that than the (somewhat laborious) flatbed scanner routine? And to prevent "bleed through" of the image on the other side of the page?

I think I have almost every issue of Revs upstairs in the loft somewhere.

I wonder if the publishers could sell a disc of all the old issues for stuff like this. It's still recent enough to have been compiled together electronically for publishing, isn't it? Do they just have a load of pdfs or something squirrelled away somewhere?

You used to be able to buy a disc of "EVO" like that from U.S. Ebay......although it wasn't the publishers selling it

Hah, I imagine there's torrents and such floating around, yes... But it just seems to me that if you own the copyright anyway, there's no real disadvantage to selling it to people who fancy reminiscing a bit. Guess it depends how much effort/cost would be involved for what is, in all probability, a very small audience.
