The Koenig Testarossa was indeed "Da Shizzle" in it's day....240mph/1000bhp IIRC - not much change to now huh.

Spotted by my anorak desk neighbour: That is not a 6 series BMW but a Merc SEC with gullwing doors. He's right.

I cant see it on that page but I think this is actually nice...

IIRC, that is a Reiger GTS bodykit which was available for lots of different cars in the late 80s/early 90s. Was seen as the bees knees in those days though complete with a set of Image split rims hehe

That 600 merc above though, WTF! thats a Pullman, ruined. Ruined I say!

no no - that's the Sbarro Shahin. The pic that refers to the 6 is the interior shot below smile

The outside of that car looks like this:

Nice, eh?

As a kid at the motor show in Earls Court in the 80s one of the highlights was always the coachbuilt cars. Does anyone else remember seeing a 6 wheel range rover built for an Arab client which had a rag top roof and rear seats which extended upwards on hydraulic rams? The bench would rise above roof level so that the owner could launch his birds of prey whilst hunting.

A fairly elaborate way to go hunting with a hawk, gotta love it.

I had this book as a wee-lad, god knows where it is now and chock full of this kind of stuff.

The best I can remember was the mid engined Golf with the body raised to reveal the engine.
Great book! I also had it.

Found another similar one in the loft recently called Dream Cars. It was published by M&S full of stuff like this........

But that's the genius - these things manage to be hideous and wonderful at the same time...
That is the best bit of all - hideous and wonderful.

I like that 6 series, and I think I want Rainbow seats

Yes indeed. Original Jazz was a proper 935 turbo in Martini colours.

Which is a terrible disguise, if you think about it.

I've got a copy of Dream Cars somewhere too. The BB porsches were all brilliant.

Snap! That was a great book, still got my copy! My favorite was the Styling Garage MB 500 (p 188), stretched AND widened!

As good an argument as any for the uprisings in the M East. Hard to imagine any of these behemoths were paid for with legit earnings.

Just the bodywork left to do now; interior done; undercrackers done; most of the panels accumulated
